VAG-hag 0 Posted February 8, 2014 Chris, is the mk5 item a bag/ jacket rather than plastic?
Sean_Jaymo 0 Posted February 8, 2014 My wifes tdi mk5 is equipped with a plastic assembly. I only changed the battery on it a few weeks ago.
robrado974 1 Posted February 8, 2014 Yep , our mk5 has a plastic cover . I'm not sure and I can't find the thread now , but didn't someone say about using a passat cover ? . If I can't get one then I will ask the mother in law to work some magic withe the sewing machine , it's only the Velcro sticker pads that keep coming off mine . Dox 23 Posted February 8, 2014 Early MK4 golf V5 had the fabric covers, if you've fitted a larger than standard battery the original cover wont fit anyway.
Dox 23 Posted February 8, 2014 http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Vehicle-Parts-Accessories-/131090/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=golf+battery+cover Early A3 too by the look of it You need to check the physical size of the battery and cover chosen are compatible
