Kevin Bacon 5 Posted August 23, 2004 Another thing worthy of note about Adrian Flux is that if you're an existing policy holder, rather than ringing the above number, call 08700 692202 and hold for a service assistant. You'll get straight through instead of going round the houses. And to add the Schrick VGI, Neuspeed bars, Schrick 268 cams, new alloys and a few other bits + adding commuting to my Adrian Flux policy cost just £25! Madjackal 0 Posted September 10, 2004 How much do you pay Mr Haywire. Of couse I would need to make the relevant adjustments for lack of no claims and... ahem.... a speeding conviction. Damit! (if you dont mind me asking) Are they reasonable though?
jedi-knight83 0 Posted September 16, 2004 huge list and im not calling them all  im with adrian flux at present. i am 21 with a modified car...ive tried brentacre but any other suggestions of where to try? trying to get a cheaper renewal quote than £1100. ta
samm_cvr6 0 Posted September 17, 2004 I just tooka policy withAdrian Flux, I'm 24, noclaims or convictions with 2 yrs no claims £883, I would recommend them...
anubis 0 Posted September 17, 2004 Same here, Adrian Flux, all mods declared, 25, 6 yrs no claims.....£620......much better than the rest by about £300 [direct line] and then upwards of £1200 with others..... :)
20valver 0 Posted September 17, 2004 I had a G60 with chip and pulley, exhaust, alloys, £600 stereo and payed £710 TPFT. I was 22 with no points and 1yr NCB. That was with HIC. VW specialist apparenty.... they gave me 10% off for going to shows and buying PVW!!!

AdamB 0 Posted September 27, 2004 I just insured my VR6 with First Alternative - unbeatble quote of £430 fully comp, protected NCB. not bad at 31 with 6 points. I would recommend giving them a call, as they were streets ahead of the nearest quote.
Andi 2,147,483,647 Posted September 28, 2004 Well, just been doing mine: Currently with Adrian Flux, their renewal quote was £920 with 350xs. And these are all quotes for Fully Comp, 24yo, 5yrs NCD, 6 points (2xSP30s), all mods declared. Elephant: £945 250xs Greenlight: £797 300xs Priveledge: can't do it First Alternative: £1200 without mods, quote abandonned Brentacre: £734 450xs, but unlimited mods to 210bhp and 2nd car cover discount (might be important!) HIC: sounded like the cleaning lady answered and will pass on my message. Not impressed! So although the xs is a LOT better with Greenlight, I may go with Brentacre as the second car may be needed this year with all the work I intend getting done. Interestingly, Adrain Flux said if I got a hard copy of their quote they WILL beat it by £10 and give me a policy at a loss. But they don't do second car cover so I won't bother ;)
Jim 2 Posted September 28, 2004 Yeah when I chatted to Brentacre about a 2nd car they seemed really flexible. I am paying quite high insurance with an eye watering excess but they were the best at the time. Adrian Flux said something similar but to be honest, if they can't offer me a good quote from the off rather than doing a 'policy at a loss' JUST to beat other insurers, i'd rather not touch them. Andi 2,147,483,647 Posted September 28, 2004 Yeah, John @ Brentacre gave me all the low-downs of their wonderful policy :) He also told me all about his 16v G60 Corrado and knew all about the forum ;) (Hello John if you're reading this!). I haven't had any probs with AF, but then I haven't had to make a claim... so....
Jim 2 Posted September 28, 2004 Hopefully the more props we give them, the more we get discounts. Hey.. did you offer them a banner / link as Corrado Forum preferred insurer, in exchange for a small discount for forum members? :)
Andi 2,147,483,647 Posted September 28, 2004 No discount, they'll pay me instead! I'm looking into it ;)
Gman 0 Posted September 29, 2004 I trust you will try and work a discount in for anyone who is a CF member :) G
Tattie 0 Posted September 29, 2004 I use Brentacre and would seriously recommend them. Friendly, helpful and very competitively priced. Its run family style rather than corporate style which is a refreshing change. Any mods upto a certain BHP and Guaranteed No claims discount for £500. Chip and pulley was an extra £120 IIRC
dr_mat 0 Posted September 29, 2004 I thought this thread was supposed to be a reference sticky, not a discussion thread? Clarification here, mods?
GIXXERUK 0 Posted October 15, 2004 I thought this thread was supposed to be a reference sticky, not a discussion thread? Clarification here, mods? we need the discussion , the members feedback of personal experiences with different ins co's is vital imo

Guest Posted November 24, 2004 Using Brentacre myself - provided me with a policy that covers all existing mods and future mods at no extra cost as long as I inform them - guaranteed no claims protection as well - good service and the guy there owns a Corrado so he can't be anything but a decent bloke
