Calliper Colour?

Recommended Posts

Ok - bit of a styange question and im sure some will say its down to personal choice but just wanted some advice.

I am upgrading my brakes next week to the MK4 back and Mk3s (288)Front - think I will paint the callipers but cant decide on what colour will look right

Mine is a Blackberry VR6 with original speedlines

Colours I have thought of

Silver (subtle)

Black

Gold (maybe chavy)

Blackberry to match the car

There the colours I think match the cars colour?

Thanks

David

Mine are gold, look better than they sound. I'd probably go for silver if I were to do them again.

You can get a sort of cast iron grey paint, i think eastwood make it. Might look good. I prefer black but I'm not too bothered about making a standard vw caliper stand out.

i tend to go for silver the discs are silver and most of my motors have silver or polished alloys so i think it looks the best.but its a very personal thing.

If you mix the silver and gold at the right percentage you can get very close to the original look of brake calipers if that helps?
