Favourite car you've ever driven....?

Recommended Posts

Time for another one of those 'What have you...' type threads!

A number of people on here obviously know the right kinds of people, as you seem to have had chances to go out for a spin in some fabulous cars - the only mates of mine that drive have a Civic, Laguna and a Suzuki Wagon R!

So just interested to see what some of the coolest cars you've ever had the fortune to take for a spin are? Not including the Corrado of course.... :)

The only decent car i've even driven is a Lotus Elise, and unfortunately that was only on a track! Would really like to go on the Audi drivers day (TT V6 and an RS6 to punish all day long) but I just don't think its worth the £400 price...

The tank I drove still rates as one of my favourites.. ;) Would have been fun on the roads... Clamp that ya fu@~£rs! 8)

I was lucky enough to take a Ferrari 348 GTB (with the plate A 348 GTB ! 8) ) out for a spin one lunchtime when I was 18 'cos it was owned by a friend of mine who I'd just managed to save a shed load of money... sods law that I managed to not see anyone I knew as I cruised through town though... :| Lovely to drive though, and OH! what an engine note... I just wish I could have given it a bit and had some fun with it... ;) 8)

I've driven lots of different Porsches (356 A and B, 924, 928, 944, 911, 912 and 914) and took a mate's dad's Bentley out for a drive once too... 8)

But fave car driven is probably still my Campaign... Sad I know.

Emm, brand new S-type Jag twin turbo diesel, 6-speed manual box... What a beast. Also drove a XK8 jag with a 4.2 litre V8 in it on the same day. Mmmmm...... what fun! 8)

Hmmmm....I've not driven much that's been worth writing home about to be honest, probably the best was a TT 225, but I preferred driving my mate's Corrado VR6 truth be told.

Use to work on car alarms and we had a 355 in for a tracker had to take the thing for a spin just to make sure we hadn't touched anything we were not meant to, thing went like like stink but a real b***h to drive fastest but not the most fun,

Would say best car was dads Range Rover when new, you see that thing in your mirror and people do get out the way on the motorway.

Last year i got to drive a porshe GT3 and an impreza wrx sti round goodwood. The impreza blew me away as it was (being only 18 and owning a 1.4 fiesta) but the GT3 was just amazing!!! Hitting 145mph down the back straight was great fun. Other than that driving my dads lotus exige round a car park and now my 16v C. :D

My cousin's Carrera 4- awesome!

Other than that, my blackberry VR with induction kit was great. My new VR is good too, and also the Nissan 200SX S14A which I nearly bought was superb.

I must say my favourite was definalty an Aston Martin 6.3 ltr Vantage

But closely followed by a 4ltr Jag Sovereign - BUT with £40K worth of modifications

was called a Jaguar Tornado built by Paramount Performance and was bored out to 4.2 Twin Turbo with about 450bhp and featured on Top Gear (I went along to the shoot) Clarkson was loving it and went out on a road test - brought it back 4 hours later!!! No film crew (gone home) and minus a full tank of fuel. But god it was quick and very nice.

Ho Hum oh I wish I had silly money like some of my old aquaintences!!!

Elise was cool around Donnington - track day birthday present from my darling wife

Ferrari Dino - on the road - horrible to drive but oh so good

Jaguar XJ220 - on Donnington (promo prize from work)

and just about every porsche on the planet except a 959 aswell as various other customer cars

Ford Capri Brooklands 280 TurboTechnics - which was probably the most awe inspiring car ive owned (your chest hurt when you booted it) 8)

was also a passenger in a sprint prepared escort cossie being driven silly by an old duffer that had liver spots on his hands which was really really scary........f*ckin fruit loop.......probably the best driver ive ever been in with though

But gotta love my old fireblade if we can go 2 wheels now that was sooooooo fast
