Inner window scrapers

Hi All,

 

I'm in process of collecting all required rubbers, trim prior prior to a full respray on my VR6.

 

I understand the outer scrapers are prone to breaking when removing but does the same apply to the inner scrapers.

The inner scrapers lift out easily, no probs there!

 

Have a look on YouTube, there’s a clip of a guy taking the outer scrapers out that shows how to do it without damaging them.

Hello all completely new to the forum. I apologise if I’m slightly off topic but I haven’t worked out how to start a new thread on the forums.I owned a silver Corrado VR6 years ago and loved it for 6 years M37 ABD but had to sell it in 2006 due to our first house and children. After many years of missing my Corrado I’m about to take delivery of a blue VR6 tomorrow, Very excited.

There are a few things I want to do to the car one being replacing one of the outer door slot seal rubbers which is rippled and distorted. I cannot for the life of me find any online they seem to be difficult to get hold of. Does anyone have an idea where I can get any.

Nice to be on here and talk to fellow Corrado lovers.

Good luck with the new car and that search. There is a list on here that we are hoping to out to VW Classic in the hope of them being remanufactured. Get your name on it, but ne prepared to wait..... if we are lucky

Welcome back to the Corrado.

 

If you really need a set AMOS will have some used ones but will not be cheap as a rare part these days. As Cressa has mentioned we are hoping for them to be remanufactured but that may not happen or could bea year or so away. Might be worth you checking out the car for a couple of weeks and working out what is missing or broken, and then have a drive down there.

Not rubbing it in as I own both a rado and golf Mk2 but look how many seals they do for a Mk2 golf and cost of the seals. Seems like the Corrado is getting a bad deal from the Heritage world.

Once the door card is off the inner scrapers are easy enough to remove without damaging them - the issue will more likely be that they are damaged already, as they tend to crack over time.
