fendervg 33 Posted May 28, 2020 Even gives you a receipt for the ££££s you will have to spend to fix the faults. Neat. Cool and retro, but I kind of prefer VCDS as it's much easier to use.

This is the first time I've seen one for sale in 9 years of ownership - though admittedly, I've not really looked. Even if there were half a dozen in every dealership though, it wouldn't have amounted to many and most were probably destroyed or returned when they went out of service

stuarttaylor37 13 Posted May 30, 2020 Does it do anything more than VCDS?

Nope - it's no like you can do an awful lot on OBD1 apart from read/clear fault codes, display measuring blocks and do basic settings. But if you have the Bentley, you would be able to follow the scan instructions word for word. VCDS will do all of the same, and more for newer cars. But it's a nice piece of history. Dox 23 Posted June 1, 2020 (edited) Was anyone tempted? I had a look at mine yesterday and it’s 1552 model, does anyone know the difference between the two? Does the 2 signify it being OBD2? TIA Found this for viewing at a later date Edited June 1, 2020 by Dox
