there is an alternative though, i have wiper arm mounted jets which work brilliantly

Get these both from the dealers Im guessing. 

Anyone know does the heating come on when deforst button switched on or is it auto heat when washer switch pressed,

I think its when the rear demist is pressed. Also puts the mirror demist on too

Every diagram I've seen shows them as coming on when the ignition is on (KL15) so they are on whenever the car is.

Fuse 14 and connection D/9 from fuse box

 

Always surprises me as I expected it to be when rear demist was on

I imagine most of these do not work then if on all the time.

I tested mine and it was as above,  ignition on. Does seem strange !!!

Well, washing with warm water is always better than cold lol I’m sure the elements have to burn out after a couple of years though - have never tested mine. Screenwash does have a lower freezing point, so assume this is just to help clear the nozzles?
