Lelige 0 Posted July 27 What are the parts needed to convert an ABS corrado to a manual system? From what i gathered, you need a master cylinder and booster from a passat and the bracket for the firewall. and you need lines from a non-abs corrado or need to make your own. Is anything else needed and does anyone have part numbers?
fendervg 33 Posted August 5 Essentially the brake system from a Mk2 Golf or equivalent, I would think. Probably brake pedal, servo, master cylinder and all the needed pipes. There were plenty of non-ABS Corrados, so you might even find a donor car. Just a warning though, you are unlikely to get a huge improvement in brake performance and feed, the main advantage is no more ABS light woes.
tonedef 10 Posted August 5 Also worth considering a Teves 20 upgrade from a slightly later Golf, better ABS system, no bias valve, no more ABS light! Bit of a faff to install though.
Keyo 49 Posted August 7 My early G reg valver came with no abs and no cats from factory and also has manual windows - if you just look at the early KR16v part numbers on etka for a 16v or early g60 there is your part list. How is everyone ?
Crasher 4 Posted August 10 Consider the MOT implication. The Mk20 system is much better but good pumps are becoming hard to find.

How is everyone ? All good here, got an MOT this week, still hanging in there almost 25 years since we bought it! How about yourself, loving the look of the G60, we had an early valver in Pearl Blue, manual windows, no sunroof etc 30 years ago, pure Corrado, once you’ve had one you’re hooked forever! Very quiet around here these days, forums struggling against the might of facebook.
