Kevin Bacon 5 Posted September 8, 2004 Carbon canister. It removes hydrocarbons from the fuel vapour. The 'cleaned' fumes are then drawn into the engine, governed by the ECU and the blue valve clipped to the strut tower under the MAF. Yes you can either relocate or remove it. Its called a carbon canister it's supposed toreduce emmisions but it's bo&lox as it will be doing jack nowadays Put in a search for 'carbon canister' and you will find a thread previously posted showning you how to remove it!!!
