looks v nice indeed 8)

those air fuel gauges arent very acurate i have heard as they only show a low band of values.
-
hm id be tempted for a crossflow head as much less work is included and the power gain are sweet.
-
talk to 8vg60 or 16vg60 they the specialists. Can be expensive as some parts such as alt plates and other mounts are not available and they gotta be custom made. the power gain would be from 220hp to about 350hp.
-
what light colour does it have, looks nice :)
-
im getting mine from demon tweeks. pillar mount for 1 gauge carbon look for £17, i dont know if there is anything cheaper,im expecting about 12-15psi but the big inteercoler will reduce some boost
-
I see  Thanks for that.I thought that is was always charging even on idle as they charger is being turned as the engine turns over. I guess there must be some bypass then for the air. Hmmm lots to think about
Where is everyone going to mount these gauges?
Also would there ever be a situation where you would lose VAC pressure but not boost?
I will mount it on the side pillar, much easier to look at than on the console panel. I dont know what you mean by lossing vac pressure,if you press pedal slightly you would come to a point where presssure is 0

I like the ultralite, they give a better view, can you get some info on the lights of the sport comp and ultralite series, ill have a boost gauge for the moment, for what sort of price do you recon you could get them?,£39.38 from vwspeed for sport comp 20 psi. :)

2.0 16v is an insurance group higher than a g60
Seriously??? :?
i think they both group 17!!
-
sorry i thought they were a straight fit or something, ill take it that for £850 you get 4 pot brembos in front and the TT setup with 280mm on the back. Good setup also must look sweet hiden in some 17" alloys. :D
-
when the car is hot and runing switch it off and looking at the engine you should be able to hear the hot water steaming out if you have a cracked tube or radiator.
-
ok can you explain if you have modified them to fit the C or can we go and pick up pair of stnd TT rear callipers from breakers and slap pair g60 front discs. I have seen them and they look similar to g60 and mk3 golf brakes. i changed my dads brakes fronts to 305mm and rears are same as TT i think, these were of mk3 gti.

Hello all,Im a new user of the site and indeed a 'rado G60 owner, being only 20 i thought i would share my knowledge of the merky waters that is insurance for us age impared youngsters!!
Best insurance quote i recieved was from Adrian Flux insurance, (advert with number found in the back of most car mags) I think it was about £1500-1600 fully comp with me as the only driver with 3yrs NCB. Not too bad considering its a group 17 car.
Also worth a try are elephant and admiral, similarly priced yet not as cheap as Adrian Flux

Martyn - Red G60
You know i miss those BBS alloys i used to have on my G60,bring me memories, look sweet though :)
-
but than again cant you put a cam for that sort of powerband,i have custom exhaust system decated waas when i bought the car, sounds nice though :D plus i get loads of back flames everytime 8)
-
you mean the nuovolary quattro, with 500 or so BHP,the front lights on that car are so mean
-
Dubcharged, No offence mate, but i have one and its pretty crap. Could just be mine but i dont think so. I had it fitted and rollin roaded and the gauge aint readin out a true figure. The oil pressure gauge i had also, had pretty cheap connections and i lost half my oil!!!!Ill be gettin some autometer ones instead, wont suit the C as much as the splitfires tho, but apparently they are the Dogs b*****cks!
which boost gauge are you using?at i will stay far away fom that :) ,iv seen some multi colour boost gauges on speeding webside and in a shop around my house, they seem pretty cool as you have a choice of 7 diferent light colours, should look nice at night look here

this has been beated to death on almost all the forums and lists... but i don't think i've seen it on this one yet. try looking in vortex, and yahoo lists..it makes it a bit doggy off the line, gives it a bit more quickness at higher rpm.
in a torquey G60 its a good idea to lose is usually.. not sure if you VR6 guys would benefit too much..
on a g60 you need the cat, when you take it out you will lose loads of back pressure which will lower the tourqe on low rpm,you just replace it with a race cat. On a turbo is best not to have any back pressure at all.
-
jules what happen with the sound did you fix it,i wanna do this too as i got all the air ducting ready.
-
I have not looked at TT fronts, as we use 4 pot Brembos and motorsport cross drilled discs with alloy bells. We do however use TT rear callipers with G60 front discs for the rear with good results. This is a proven conversion now and will be seen on my Corrado 16VG60 at Inters. Is this a bolt on mod or does it need any modifying. Would be great conversion :D as i dont like my rear callipers plus i have spare zimmerman G6o front discs.

try elephant or bell4direct. Some tips, when on the website write down as second car for u dad and write him as main driver, put about 2 years bonus if you have and put the least miles yearly say 3k,say that u dad is employed even if he isnt and say that you use another car in regular basis. You will be surprised :). I was driving G60 when i was 17 was my first car   and it dosent get better so my next car i think would be a porsche (in my dreams) by the looks of it. 8)

the carbon 1 would look awsome even though i have a grey dash

-
Low G not sure what you mean what trip?Baz do you have a side mount pod or one similar to the TIM mounting pod?
Sorry if I'm being thick :?
i meant trim, sorry. That one is just so plane with no back light or nothing.
-
this is better http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/subar ... terior.htm plus has higher psi but £52 with mount
