  1. yea i guess a braided stainless line would look better that just a blastic hose runing down your engine, also i dont know how well the filter will keep the odours of the oil out of the heater system so a braided hose might be the catch :p

  2. well doing a catch tank with a long hose in the engine bay i think will look butters, why not use a crank case breather, hell they just pop in the crankcase hole get rid of the black thing there and look sweet, for only £10 you can replace it once in a while if it clogs up

  3. g60 i think what you talking about on the location of the second air intake inst that apropriate,i mean that means you gotta us about 1m of ducting and they better be big in diameter to get a good airflow. Than again they will heat up and by the way air gets to the charger will get warmer, also the roaring of teh charger fom that intake will drown as the tube will be too long,im pretty sure you can squezze a tube in the location between the right intake on the charger and the start of hte rad. There is a plastic plate htere if you see that directs the air to the rad,i took that off and tried my stock intake pipe that is used with the stock airbox and i could bend it there enough to fit,is a tight sqweeze but it works, also the rad can be moved as there are about 4 holes thatyou can move teh rad,try the last one that takes it as far away from the charger, but for me i will look in what other smaller more compact rad with a fan that is flatter i can use as i will give me loads of room for the front 944 intercooelr and the tubing.

  4. thats sweet dubcharged :) ,for some reason everytime an mr2 come close to me they wanna race me and sometimes it gets annoying, how lighter is your golf than the C g60?I been off action for about 3 months now since my charger blew up and i cant wait till i get in her now,by teh way who is still doing 3.5 bar fpr?

  5. 215 will fit on the stock width rims?

i'm guessing a lowered car, 205s or 215s on stock rims and 30mm spacers would cause some harsh rub... or is it not too bad?

    thanks

no not on stock rims,on 17" offset 8

  6. You can use 10mm spacers at the front but i have big offset im using 215 tires,on the stock wheels you can add 20mm or 30mm spacers and it look nice from the sides but when you loook it from the rear it wont look wide as the tyres are thin,i could have used 205 instead but i wanted to protect my alloys so i went 215.

  7. cra# man you scearing me :( ,i know i cleaned it really well but i shouldnt really take a chance you right,it could cost my engine. I was going to get hte 944 intercooler but when i toook out the ic the other day i decided to keep it for another month as i thought the pipe work would have to be thought of really well for the front mount intercooler as i dont want my boost pipes poping off here and there, especially when im in middle of europe, maybe i will rething about the piping again but my hardest thing is bending the pipe from charger to ic,ill have a chat with the steel work guy again.

  8. I wish i had a corrado at 18!

    what do you youngsters do??????

HairyHoover, if thats what you have been told about Corrado's then the only choice for you is a VR6, expect the high insurance though.

Another general point on cars is that they are only as reliable as their owners.

well i bought my G60 when i was 17,was my first car :D :D ,she was my first love thats why iv spend all that cash on that biatch,i dont do anything ilegal that i can think of :D

  9. The bypass hose throws pre-heated boost back into the charger which then heats up the air more and this then goes through the intercooler making the intercooler even hotter.

Also, the oil vapours from the breather coats the inside of the ic making it less effective, and dilutes the octane in the petrol leading to a less intense combustion process.

well when i cleaned my intercooler i found apex strips and bits of my old charger,i used petrol to brake down all the grease that was in it and there was loads of it

  10. depends what you want mate,if you like playing with the car and modifing than you best bet is g60,in a few months ill be 19 and i can insure myself for 1k me as a second driver with 1 yr no claim on the car from elephant on my G60. I have a G60 and i love it,with a few mods none of the other corrado engines come close to it considering the amount of money on the mods. if you find a g60 with nice body ful service history and a serviced charger you should be cool for a while.

  11. but can you drop the rad though?looks so tight and if you plan a front mounted intercooelr it dosent help either. i should be fiting my new rs1 charger tomorrow with the new chip and ill put a boost gauge son to get some psi numbers. Any tips when installing the supercharger when its new as there is no oil inside it? I will change the oil and the oil filter before hand.

  12. here is mine, dirty alloys though, ill try and get some other pic

I know I have already said this but aqua bleu is the best colour for a C.

my car had a full respray so its slightly darker aqua blue,i agree with you though :D

  13. best thing is to take your isv rubish out, just block all the pipes and adjust your ideling screw to 1k rpm.you can buy a crankcase breather for £10 that just fits on top of rocer cover, looks nice too. for your boost return pipe is best to take it out,you can just leave it free without any tubes so it straight dumps into engine bay (im talking about butterfy valve on the tb)you dont need to filter it but just be sure to cover it with some sort of net so no rubish or bugs can crawl up on it. For the second intake unless you can get cold air to it there is no point to have one right next to the rad, although would help if the right air ducting is done or just blank it off. Banana Man do you get a louder dump valve sound each time you change gear with your boost return pipe off?

  14. i was thinking about wrapign the boost pipe that takes the air from intercooler to the throttle body on the g60 with a thermal tape of some kind, has anyone done this?where can i get some heat resistant tape?im tempted to use alluminium foil

  15. nice :D ,i just got my charger chip and pulley 4 days ago, installed the chip and im removing the water pump nowputing a new one as its worth it as the charger and the bracket is out. just finished painting the charger bracket in red after diping it in HCL hydrochloric acid to remove all that grease, looks real nice. G60 are you going to set up your ingnition to 6 degrees? This is what i was told im suppost to do but i dont know how,can anyone help!!!
