9. Sorry mate but I sold it. They are available from Classic Parts but about £120 inc. shipping.
10. To name but a few. My Aqua Blue VR6 Corrado. Oak Green 3 dr MK2 Golf GTI 16V. MK2 Escort RS2000 Custom (Silly money now!)Classic Subaru Imprezza Turbo. And many others along the way!
11. In reply to the original question 'So, are they worth it?' Absolutely, one hundred percent ......... if you get a good one! I don't drive mine that often but I took it out today & for a twenty one year old car it still put's a smile on my face. After all this time it looks fantastic, goes, sounds & handles really well & they are increasingly rare & still feel special. I think they still represent really good value for the enthusiast.
12. Update. Dash insert received from x1shaunx1 on here. Many thanks mate!:thumbleft: Still looking for original VW plug removal tool if anyone has one.
13. When I had my car painted I tried, unsuccessfully, to get someone to remove the rear windows. No one wanted to touch them! In the end the car was painted with the rear windows in situ. I discussed this with the painter & asked him was it possible to paint without leaving a visible hard edge or masking line. He said he could do it. And I must say you really cannot tell the car had been painted with the windows left in. Not sure what he did but it is possible to get a very good result with the windows left in.
14. As per title. The dash insert is the bit that includes the cubby & goes up to house the ABS & fog light switches. Mine has a crack in it so i'm looking for an unbroken one. Long shot I know but nothing ventured ........ Also the original VW plug removal tool, the one that clips to the bonnet stay. If anyone can help please PM me. Cheers, Steve
15. They were on the car when I bought it about eighteen months ago & I've only done a few hundred miles. I think the previous owner put them on not long before he sold it to me so I'd just be guessing at the mileage. They are in excellent condition & I've had no issues with them. Hope that helps.
16. As per title. For VR6 coilpack model & in excellent condition. Only selling them as have put standard red one's on mine. £60.00 posted.
17. 55. My second Corrado VR6 which I've had over two years.
18. You certainly can have a multi car classic policy. Usual stuff applies such as limited mileage, garaged & agreed value, photographs etc. for each one. I used Haggerty this year & found them good to deal with.
19. Very nice 911 you've got there! Not far from me this guy & he sells some nice stuff. An amazing amount of car for the money, enjoy it. :thumbleft:
20. Carole Nash. Use them for all my car's now. Friendly, efficient & reasonable prices. Tried many of the 'other' well known classic insurers bur usually end up back at Carole Nash. Had a very bad experience with Adrian Flux!!
21. Buy one! I bought my Storm last year & have no regrets at all. Spent a few quid on it to get it where I want it & when I drive it it always puts a smile on my face! It was eight or nine years since I'd driven a VR6 & they still look & feel very special today. Nothing else like them on the road.
