    Bl**dy spoiler!

It's probably the spoiler supports that are creaking in the rubber surrounds.Mine did this(when it works)and just giving it a few squirts of a lubricating oil usually does the trick. You can adjust the spoiler manually by pulling the black rectagular handle down and turning it to move the spoiler up and down. :)

    A new noise.....

Help! I've noticed in the past few months a weird knocking rumbling noise coming from somewhere in the vicinity of the drivers side footwell/wheel area of my G60.It sounds like something rumbling underneath the car,as if it's about to come off,but only happens after I've gone hard through a left hand bend, lasts for a couple of minutes(sometimes very loudly)and then disappears again, sometimes never heard of again for a few weeks. I've checked the wheel bearings and they appear ok,also the suspension strut and most thing underneath are sound. Could this be anti-roll bar problems or an indication of something more sinister,i.e driveshaft/cv joint problems. I took the car to a garage and explained all this to them and took the mechanic in the car to try and get it to happen-typically it behaved itself! Any thoughts on this would be appreciated as its pretty scary when this noise appears.

    Bl**dy spoiler!

Thanks guys. Having looked more into it,I think grease has caused the lower microswitch (or sensor or whatever that small green block is) to jam up.After taking the thing to bits and cleaning grease of the switches everything seemed to work fine for a few weeks...up until yesterday. The spoiler will only move up a couple of centimetres and then stop, but it does go back down again, which leads me to think that the switch is worn or is closing at a certain point. :? Time to go at it again! :(

    Optimax

HAHAHA! Same story here in Orkney.Must be the same vikings! I took my car down to Ipswich for Inters this year and filled it up with Optimax every chance I got.I don't know whether it was the long motorway cruising,or the fuel, but it definately felt a a lot smoother and more responsive after filling up on the stuff.
  5. Strangely enough,I just saw a white G60 parked outside my local ATS today. Not that unusual you might think but round here(Orkney) I can count the number of C's on one hand and this is a new one.Northen Ireland plate PJI something.Must be on holiday cos it was a bit grubby. :)
  6. Always in a state of confusion mate,always.......
  7. Right,I need someone to help settle an argument. :agrue: Was there ever a Corrado,be it prototype or special show car or something, that had an active frontspoiler as well as the back one? I'm sure I saw it on Top Gear or something ,way back when, that an electronically active front lip came down from where the chin spoiler is now,but I can't honestly remember. Or am I just talking pants? (again!)

    Bl**dy spoiler!

Can anyone help on this? On my '91 G60 the spoiler stopped working, even on the manual button. Have had the panel off the back and played with the wires and got it working again. It appeared that the red wire was the cause of the problem cos when it was moved the spoiler would work but only partially. Then removed the black cover which revealed the cogs and things, and cleaned up the block that this red wire was connected to.Hooray spoiler worked perfectly! until now.stopped working again. Is this something that a VAG garage has to work on or would a a qualified vehicle sparky be able to sort it? Please help cos the spoiler is one of the reasons I bought a Corrado! :(

    Corrado G60

I've managed a little trick with my headlights although I'm not entirely sure how as I stumbled over it by accident! If you have an uprated loom fitted, the sidelights should work with the ignition off and the light switch on sidelights.Switch the ignition on with the switch in the same position and you should get dipped lights and the ability to use your main beam stalk as a flasher! Switch the headlight switch to dipped beam and your main beam stalk should function as normal.Like I said don't ask me how it works-it just does

    The north C!

Yeah, that's where the idea came from. The tricky bit was getting the panel to stay in position when changing up to 5th or going into reverse,as the boot tended to pull on it and pull the panel out.Sorted now though.

Added a new pic of the interior.See above.
  12. I had a look at an R32 at my local stealer yesterday and was very very tempted....except for the £23,000 price tag.But if they had one of those I would have sold my house, girlfriend, cat and probably touted myself on a saturday night to own it!!!!!  By the way,did I mention I like it? Love the lights. They still have that moody, agressive look and bring the car bang up to date.I think if the C was still in production it would probably look very similar.
  13. Me and the C are gonna be there. 8)

    Short shifter

HEhe! Yeah,it's cos I have a G60.Comes with a charger as standard  although some who know me,might say it's cos of the way I drive-in an attempt to "blow"the engine  Had it breathed on by Jabbasport via Star Performance in Glenrothes.Stage four, chipped, jetex induction kit(soon to be junked in favour of a Jabba kit)performance 'zorst.Dyno'd at 183bhp.Trying to get it to at least 200  Looked into a VR when I was looking for a new car but that was 5yrs ago and it was out of my price range

    Short shifter

At last! After much work Its fitted.(lots of use of a hammer-and much swearing-required but it's in!)
  16. Lol! Thanks for the inside knowledge.I haven't seen it on the road since it was bought and thats about 2 months ago,so I was kind of guessing that it was off the road due to "technical problems"
  17. That's the place.Just wondering because I kind of know the bloke who bought it,and the dealer he bought it from has had some...errr...shall we say, ropey?motors in the past.
  18. Just out of interest, does anybody in Aberdeen area remeber a K-reg dark mettalic green VR6 with 17"BK racing alloys,de-badged,colour coded grill and one of those huuuuge tail pipe(at least 4inch diameter)? Jusat asking cos its in Orkney now and wondering what (if any)it's history might be.Probably last seen on the forecourt at Volkscar or Volks-something Aberdeen.

    Short shifter

Thanks m8.I was hoping that that wouldn't be what I'd have to do,but I suppose that's why it's called modifying :pale:

    Short shifter

Ahhh......thanks,it was beginning to bug me cos I'd never heard of it before. Now,just for the kit...........

    Short shifter

Does any one have an early model(91-92)G60 that has a B+M short shift kit fitted? If so can you tell me how you removed the neutral adjustment pin,as mine hits the lip of the transmission tunnel, and I have to remove a bolt holding the gear shift unit as well the because the pin won't get past that either. :? (and also can anyone explain what an SLC corrado is?) Thanks.
  22. I like it! Makes the front more menacing, but probably very tricky to fit.Any plans of anyone doing this as a kit?

    The north C!

The mudflaps are a must here, what with all the bleedin' tractors carting mud all over the roads! It's bordeaux pearl metallic,or if your not up to speed on these things like me,just plain sparkly purple!
  24. Probably the most far north Corrado in the country! New pic of the interior.
