Good result :thumbleft:

Cheers Spare front rubber mats arrived from Tom, a wee clean and they will be perfect. Ordered blue wing mirror glass for both sides and brushed stainless VR6 sill protectors. Get my wheels first thing tomorrow then planning on finishing the rear brake painting.

You need to be quicker next time

Thanks guys I can't wait to get them and put them on after finishing the black painted brakes, hopefully they will suit the car.

Just noticed a pic of my £50 scrap yard Speedlines on Werestorealloys FB page, they look amazing !! Before and after

Just bought one on eBay an hour ago after getting my old alarm removed :-( I will still take one please

Cracking install of my new Autowatch 457RLi alarm today, old Pirhana removed as well as a semi redundant immobiliser which was still wired in yet was disabled. Top quality install by the mobile technician, who fitted the new blue LED through the left side blank where the existing red alarm bulb was and he fitted the 2 digital ultrasonic detectors in the holes at the top of the A pillars rather than drill holes and I've remembered to keep the hole caps. Picking up the diamond cut Speedlines on Saturday and planning to complete the painting of the rear and front brakes black at the weekend ??

Very well could be, I will pm you

Looks great and glad you got it out when the sun shone, as it doesn't happen often up here

Thanks Tom, that's good of you. Cheers Chris

I will take one as well if there is another one.

Thanks a lot. It's just my GTD on its winter wheels next to it. Can't wait to get the 19's back on and spacers. Winter mode.

Dropped off the spare Speedlines this morning and going with anthracite powdercoating with diamond cut rims. They should work well with the grey car and black details. Picked the car up as well with the normal Speedlines blasted and powdercoated and all the work completed. Rubbish pics as it was darkish in the garage. Cleaned the car and fitted the new retrimmed steering wheel.

Valve was from Tierod on eBay, bb components I think ?

Looks great and I think the same as you, ride height is decent, could be lower but the quality of the ride more than makes up for it. I've had cheaper and harsher set ups but the Bilstein kits are the best middle ground for me.

Could have got the Toad that was recommended to me for £299 at my door but the Autowatch was £80 dearer. I'm also paying £60 to get the existing system removed as well as another random immobiliser removed. So £440 in all. I had another quote from a different company but not mobile, just at there base, for the Toad system for £349 for the total closure. I'm happy with the Autowatch as it has some clever features.

Fast mover. Alarm is getting fitted next Thursday

So been chatting to the alarm guy today and between us we have chosen to go for an Autowatch system which is top notch. http://www.autowatch.co.uk/products/advanced-alarm-systems/9-autowatch-457rli-t-remote-ultrasonic-alarm-immobiliser-system Hopefully it will get fitted before the end of March and finish this years spends and work. The remaining bits for the brake valve fittings have been shipped today so once they all arrive I will check to make sure I've got everything. Don't know if I will get the valve fitted until next years Mot and service time ?
-
Hi They are front shields and I will check mine over when I get my car back then decide. Cheers
-
More wee bits arrived today, the spring and bits for the brake compensator valve but still awaiting a couple of bits from the U.S., then I will check to see if I have 2 sets of all the fitments ?? The garage marked the powder coating on one of the wheels, so it's away getting redone but they will be the spare set anyway so not too bothered tbh. Still taking the other set to get refurbed this Saturday and been in contact with a mobile alarm fitter to get an estimate in for the Toad alarm that was recommended. Can't wait til it's all together during March to start enjoying it.
-
Thanks both of you. I'm googling the Toad now and will no doubt go for that with all the recommendations.
-
Thanks for that. The shields I just spotted for sale and I will either keep as spares or sell on to someone that needs them at what I paid. Just need to check mine first when I get my car back. I heard the Toad was a good system, I will look into it now. Cheers
