Hi, Thanks for the reply , this is all being fitted to a narrow track 4 stud G60 so might,nt experience the clearance issues that might occour on a vr6 car. The original BBS RJ wheel for the g60 is a 15x 6.5j with an et of 33. My new rims are 7x16 et25. From my calculation the new wheel will be 14.4mm out towards the arch compared to the originals. I think there will be plenty of room in the arch for this as the originals are set quite inward anyway . Just a bit concerned that the 205 section will look a bit overtyred on a narrow track car ? I had a mk2 once with 205/50/15 tyres on and I remember it drove awful !

Thanks , My arches aren't rolled and I hope not to have to if possible ! I didnt think id have to add spacers tbh,thought et25 would be more than spaced out enough as it is ? So your saying a 205 /45 tyre is the one to go for ?

Hi, I'm fitting a set of 7x16 wheels on my corrado g60 as my 15" won't clear the brembo front brake setup I am fitting. What size tyre would suit best on this wheel ? Wheel size convertors say a 195-45-16 is closest to the oe 195-50-15 rolling radius but would a 205-40-16 0r 205-45-16 work out better to drive on. Car is approx 40mm lowered all round with non rolled arches . Thanks .

I got a set of four from vw a few weeks back, the corrado ones are dropped now but mk3 golf bolts are virtually the same , they have a shouldered head where as the originals didn't . Can't be a bad thing! Pn. 90688902. Pricey buggers alright at €4.15 + Vat!

According to ekta G004 000M2 supersedes the G002 000 code but is the same. I'm going to use this ,I got a second bottle so I have enough to give the pump and rack a good flush out so hopefully all will be ok.

Called into the vw dealer this evening . This fluid is listed for all corrado models so I guess that is that! Well it was until the parts manager happened to walk buy as I was buying it and insisted it was the wrong stuff for my car!!

Thanks for replies so far. I have a bottle of the Febi fluid that I used to use in the mk2 golf gti I had . It was in a white bottle though. I'm going to go into vw and see what they say on it!

Hi , What is the correct power steering fluid for an early 1990 16v corrado? I have done numerous searches on here and elsewhere and I'm no clearer on it at all ,more confused than ever ... Firstly my reservoir is the old rectangular type and has a red cap which would indicate ATF, ATF is even wrote on top of the res as well. I've drained out the old fluid and it was so dirty it was difficult to tell if it was green or red origionally but I would have said green if pressed on it. I've read online that all corrado,s regardless of age use the green fluid, I've a mk2 golf Haynes manual which says that from April 1989 vw switched from red atf to the green stuff , Golf info I know but essentially the same pump and rack for the time.i had an 91 mk2 a few years back and I used the green fluid and had no problems btw. I have a late 91 build g60 as well,it also has a red cap on the reservoir but it looks like green fluid within . Yours confused ???

Been gathering more parts for the suspension rebuild . Hubs stripped , blasted and powdercoated . Antiroll bar, rear clamps and front droplinks as above. Superpro antiroll bar bushing kit. New genuine wishbones. New top mounts , lower wishbone joints, track rod ends ,rear axle bushes. Bilstein B4 dampers. Selection of genuine bolts and fasteners. Still have a few parts on order so as soon as I have everything I need I'll start to strip the front end down .

'm fitting a set of 280 mm g60 brakes to the corrado in the near future along with a full suspension overhaul. I had g60 brakes here but they needed a refurb so I stripped them down and got the calipers and carriers blasted and powdercoated in red .when I got them back I lacquered them to retain the finish. I ordered a caliper rebuild kit from bigredd and reassembled all this evening.
