Yip - genuine bulbs last ages and ages!

Looks really nice and clean mate...
Tyre profile looks huge but I think it's the black wheels...
White brake calipers - you nutter :)
-
Yeah new one I'd say... those aftermarket ones are alloy which is fine but is also soft so looks like it's worn from being loose as Steve says above...
-
Nice going on the 20 yearsHmmm, I think it's more like 16 unless I'm mistaken and it's now 2012!
Yep, as Yan says... not factory.
The only Corrado I have seen with pin stripes is the JH81 prototype.
-
It's not being charged - either a duff alternator or the blue exiter wire is not connected...
Could be a loose connection or worn regulator bushes.
-
As above - you just need 1 Ltr from VW - £5 as the whole system uses 0.9Ltr
You need to remove the serpentine belt though and prime the pump by hand - to do this you need am M8 by 80mm bolt to de-tension and you might want a new belt too
-
Yeah, I found it a bit restrictive too - kept bashing it on the sunroof... If I ever build a track car it will have to be a non-sunroof model!
Jim - Can't believe it was a year ago now we took the Scirocco over, I guess that means it's been out a year too almost!
-
VW dealer.
-
I'm not sure to be honest - can you not get the loom part now? I bought a pair about a year ago and they were readily available, cheap too!
Have a look here for sensor pics -

The only way to do the full conversion to MK4 rear discs and carriers is to use the stub axles, carrier plate, sheild, and hubs / bearings from a 6N polo / Lupo / Seat Arosa - a lot of work really!
-
Sounds like the pedal position sensor Ian if VAGCOM doesn't show anything.
-
For the sake of a fiver you might as well buy the tool although as above it's nothing special and can be copied or you can just use circlips pliers on 8v engines, it's only the 16V / 20V engines with the auto-tensioner that require the proper tool.
Injectors are £80 from VW but £60ish from a Bosch dealer.
G60 ECU's go for around £60 usually and the chip is easy enough to change as it just sits in a socket - not soldered to the board.
-
Good advice above and this is exactly why i'd never really recommend coilovers on a Corrado for daily road use although they are usful for getting the ride height spot-on.
Just to add to what Stuart was saying about tyres - Goodyear Eagkle F1 GSD3's are also nice and soft although slightly more prone to punctures becuase of this.
-
No - you need the MK2-MK4 conversion hoses (Goodridge are the only people to make these)
Yeah good time to change the H/B cables as they can seize - standard ones are fine but get the MK4 cable clips
-
Thats a wee bit spooky as mine was in for its mot yesterday too.......also passed after bursting a brake pipe during the test  which was fixed btw :cheers:That was lucky!
-
Hiya, yeah I've just looked at it too... £82 though according to ETOS
On the polo it's fitted up to the end of the V chassis number then it changes to the built in UJ from W onwards...
So basically you are looking for a 95-97 Polo (6N) - N,M,P,R and maybe some S reg's
-
It's a 535 part iirc - get your dealer to simply look at the Corrado diagram for non adjustable - the column part is about £70 and the housing is about £30 - the rest of it's fairly cheap...
I'd keep looking for 6N polo's though - you will find one with the right bit!
-
On G60's they can provide a bit of extra heat protection and they are stiffer so stand up away from the block but the standard ones do the job fine.
On a VR it's not worth fitting anything but standard as they fit the cable management well and are all exactly the right length etc
-
At 180k miles I'd be looking at either a new VAG / VEGE exchange engine or the R32 upgrade path...
Critical_mass got a new VEGE engine and from what I've read he is more than happy with it...
-
I considered buying a pickup truck but just bought a second Corrado
I usually try to have at least one working
-
Why've you gone back to original mate?
-
Just posting this pic up really for the benefit of Mr NoCrap as I got him one of these too...
Looks ok I think (apart from it being a rusty old MK3  )
Not sure what it will be like on Red paint though.

Suppliers...

Looks good but I'm a bit miffed why they havn't taken the bumpers or the lights etc off...

G60 Idle Problem.
in Engine Bay
Posted
Mine does this on warmish starts in hot weather...
The cause is the version of SNS chip I have dumps a bit too much fuel in on a warm start and floods then engine slightly - after 20-30 seconds in clears itself and the idle stabilises - does yours feel like this?
