  1. dazzyvr6, thats interesting to know - good old VW!
  2. Cool... what about using a jump lead from the block to the battery then clear and re-scan Not sure what relay number off the top of my head...
  3. You tried changing the load reduction relay? If not I'd reseat it along with the ECU one.. Also check the engine earths and the large multiplug in the bay, reseat all ECU senders
  4. Also forgot to mention the droplinks are all different parts which could come in useful when fitting aftermarket ARB's as there is no way you'll get Eibachs to go thru brand new Corrado ones...
  5. Ok, here's the score... All the passats had a 24mm Bar as far as I can see, 357 411 309A All 4 Cyl Corrado's up to K chassis had an 18mm and 23mm after (both mk2 parts) All VR6 C's had the 20mm based on a mk3 part So no idea if the Passat one would fit but it would be worth someone getting a second hand one and having a go... they are about £80 new but by the time you've bought the drop links and bushes you'd be halfway to an eibach or H&R kit containing both bars... You've also got to be careful with handling as you don't want to stiffen the front up too much... I have Eibach front and rear on the G60 and it's a bit twitchy in the wet so you have to be careful but then again the car feels tighter and steering is more precise with them (had both fitted at same time so can't comment on what made the difference) The TDi Corrado handles really well but is lower and has bigger wheels than the G60 plus poly front bushes and brand new rear ones, I would like to get an ARB kit and just try a rear first really but the front is original and rusty and could do with changing... I need to read a bit more about the affects first tho as I'm also tempted to try a rear upper strutbrace at some point.
  6. Here's one I cleaned earlier....
  7. I think the mk4 track is much wider but you don't know until you try...
  8. Ooh, I'll have an Etka when I get home... when you say massive did he say what size?? I think the standard one is 22mm...
  9. It would have been reset as the battery was off - If this happens then you really should go thru the basic settings to get the most out of the engine but there is no rush if it running ok atm.
  10. Yeah, I think pre-90-spec it wasn't standard, a mate of mine did a PAS conversion on an F plater I think...
  11. So it's actually a completly different problem then!
  12. I may be interested in rear bar only... are different diam's available?
  13. VW don't list the cheaper plugs any more, the part number just supercedes to the more expensive ones at £8 + vat each... http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk seems to be the best place...
  14. Try belting the solenoid with a long metal bar...
  15. The goodridge kit says 'Corrado VR6' on it - the late Golf VR6 ones will not fit as they are for the 288 front brakes and therefore have the banjo connections.
  16. Use a genuine joint if you can get one - the outer GSF ones on my TDi are showing signs of wear after 30k miles and the VW ones also come with the mkV plastic boots (superceded parts)
  17. It's hard to say with different systems etc, I think mine has 5 all together with 2 of these in the same place... There are also different types so you may want to have a look underneath first - most 'max power' type auto shops sell these....
  18. Yep - i like OSV's suggestion - a cheap way of doing it is to use an old V belt / fan belt...
  19. Whats the difference with the coilover only kit??
  20. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39803
  21. What type of leads did you fit? Re-seat the relays near the fusebox but i would buy new ones for the Fuel pump and ECU as these are cheap and will need doing at some point anyway Whereabouts are you based?
  22. ECP tanks are gash, the G60 runs fairly hot so get a proper one on there before it leaks!
  23. There isn't a relay - there is a starter solenoid on the motor itself The critical relays are the ones for the fuel pump and ECU. Is it cranking over?
