  1. They are splines - available in Halfords...
  2. You looked at the pedal position sensor as well as the wheel sensors?
  3. There is a change on chassis number M/N but one is 110 + vat and the other is £135+ rrp - if you get good discounts then you'll save about £20 1.8 16v 89>91 535253409A 112.32 1.8 16v, 2.0 16v 92>95 535253409K 135.00 Try GSF but only buy if it's genuine (look for sticker), don't by BOSAL!
  4. The second pic is the knock sensor cable, the third i'm fairly sure is unused on uk G60's...
  5. Yeah, new VAG striker's for me too - the chrome ones I bought from GPC last year have gone rusty (not impressed!) I've also had a go at heatshrinking onto the striker pins to fix them which appears to have worked nicely but it's too soon to say if they will last or not...
  6. Yeah, they've had one in my local dealer for a coup-le of weeks now, didn't excite me enough to walk over the showroom to look at it!
  7. ..and who's that dirty looking bird on all there literature?
  8. There is only one filter for the C VR6 - 562 (this does contain 561A but you can't order that seperatly) 561 is wrong - doesn't fit... craigowl, you've got the right one - stop worrying  You can also buy as a kit with the plastic screw on and metal drain plug
  9. Steve is certainly a knowledgeble chap, doesn't mind giving 'free' advice over the phone too - top bloke!
  10. Water temp should sit bang in the middle of the guage most of the time - thats how they are calibrated.
  11. Thats wrong, it won't fit - just order 562
  12. Welcome to the forum, what car do you have?? For the digital speedo there should be a electronic sender on the top of the gearbox that feeds the speedo... Was £15 to replace on my G60 when it played up but not sure if the auto one is the same or not - probably located in the same place you fill the box up... check it's pluged in and wiring is ok before ordering... Water temp gauge not working?? - your looking for a black plug on a black sender usually located on a plastic flange on the front of the head (depending on engine) and next to a blue one... take plug off and measure resistance across the sender pins, new senders are very cheap from VW
  13. Yeah but it's too long for the sharp angle off the VSR Kev, cutting it won't help either really because of the locations of the bend... It's not crucial but this rigid plastic one with flexi joints fitted perfectly but not sure where it's from, just came in the VSR box already attached to the rubber MAF/TB hose...
  14. Yep, also get the thermsostat housing and bolts and don't forget the G12+
  15. Welcome to the forum... To be honest you are best to get underneath and measure it as I wouldn't trust ETKA in this situation!
  16. Yeah - the older rubber one is better because of the change in angle but you also need the shorter flexible plastic version of the S shaped pipe coming off it....
  17. Yep, I'd check that first then re-seat relays etc...
  18. Welcome to the forum - some BIG writting you got there! Fuel pump and fan should run on after stopping - thats ok as long as it's not doing it for ages... Sounds like you have a short somewhere that is draining the battery but it could be a coincidence - have a word with an autoelectrician and mention the water light too...
  19. Yeah GSF do SKF bearings but they weren't instock when I needed some so I went to my local bearing place (which were slightly cheaper than VAG/GSF) Yeah, agree with the Febi stuff - the TDi Corrado had a whole load of it fitted a couple of years ago when the conversion was done and it's all knackered after 30k's... trackrods seized, all rubber parts worn out - top mounts etc (luckily it was poly bushed)
  20. The Koni sport dampers are yellow - thats fine... It's the eibach springs that are the problem, they never sit right on Corrado's - try the circlip at the top setting and see if it's close if not may be best to sell them and get some H&R's
  21. Reminds me he still owes me money for that
  22. Checked fuses and tried another FP relay?
  23. Yes check for leaks but I think you want to get the chartger checked out asap - who did the rebuild? Also are you running the shorter belt with the 68mm? - if not the belt will slip and cause a low boost figure as will a knackered tensioner. Don't know where abouts you are but my advice would be to get down the G-werks and get it checked out.
  24. What kit is it? are the springs the red vogtland ones? Where have you got the rear circlip? should be in the midle or the one above to match the front in my experience...
  25. Did you use the hazet tool to put the leads on?? Whereabouts are they arcing - could be a knackered coilpack?
