  1. The chain hangers are a standard Ford part - about £3 each... The Milltek exhaust on my TDi was getting thru standard hangers every 3 months as the fit if the middle box is so stretched, I changed to the chain type and these lasted but the rubber was still ripped apart after another 3 months, I then had some yellow powerflex stuck on at Stealth and they cured the knocking noises on the rear axle and I checked them today while doing the fuel filter and they are still fine (fitted about 6 months ago) so I'd reccomened these!
  2. Get the rear ABS cages as well as they distort easily when taken off...
  3. Buy ones from Halfordfs if urgent, should be in stock and good quality Avoid Volksbits cheap sh1te... MK3/4/5 ones won't fit with out body work really as they are recessed slightly
  4. It's due a rebuild - I'd just get the above checked when it's being done, highly recomend the SNS no lag chips!
  5. Tap water can also cause this to happen...
  6. MK4 discs are the same diametre but only 9mm wide, they will not fit tho becuase the Corrado uses the taper rear wheel bearings.
  7. It does store them (I have had to clear rear faults after being on RR sessions etc) The ECU is different as you say because the VR6 has the traction control
  8. Is this on both door or just one?? - If just the one then look at the switch wiring on that handle...
  9. Welcome to the forum (and Corrado ownership!) Could be the imob but I would buy an ignition switch first, cheap and will go wrong eventually anyway and you can try without fitting it (which is a pain) - just make sure you turn the key in the barrel to release the steering lock before you drive the car if it works!
  10. I'd be careful fitting the original back on if it has been sitting around for a while - seals dry out etc... maybe best to get that one rebuilt or take the car and spare charger down the G-werks and maybe trade in the original charger against a rebuild of the other one?
  11. is it not mounted the other way tho??
  12. Furk? There is already info on SD on here, please try the search!
  13. VW state you must change it!!!
  14. Did you try lonk to lock on the stands with the top off?? - the air needs somewhere to go...
  15. Nope, depending on what verison if digifant you have it will alsogive engine codes as well but only accessible as blink codes and will not remember them and only if the original chip is there or the new one has this functionality ABS codes are stored in the ABS ecu and these are remembered.
  16. Mate, get an ISO connector and resolder it properly with heatshrink etc... If the wiring is suspent already (as it is) you need to rip it out and start from scratch, leaving it is too much of a risk
  17. I have to say I thought that when he told me that was what he was doing but looking at it now I think it works really well, especially with the design of those wheels with the polished/cut outer edges.. the reason he had the idea was that there was some nasty white paint marks between the spokes that would have taken ages to dremmel off... Well done Ben! - I think you should put the black plastic caps back over the wheel bolts and try and find some centre caps to hid that hub nut.
  18. Duuude!!!! - really can't wait for santa pod now, you could easily win show and shine!!! What happened to the audi handles??
  19. ZippyVR6, Trimsport are currently selling replacements...
  20. Yup, me too and that is why this forum is so good technically!
  21. Guy's - as the tensioner is excentric does it matter which way you rotate it to tension???
  22. It's worth trying a different port on the laptop as some are on board and some maybe header'd and there can be a difference in the power supplied.
