this anoying problem happend to me (91 Hreg), i'm not sure how it could be connected, but it magicly fixed itself when i put in a new battery.
-
blackg60, they are from a mk4 golf, but i have used polo door pins. They are easy to do, you just have to make the original hole bigger, then wire the led to you'r alarm. simple and effective! I could go on for ages explaining how to do every detail, but once you have the parts in you'r hand it will become obvious.

Those look good, I have done something similar with a3 lights. i'm thinking that inpro are going to have to make replacement lenses for their angel eyes?
-
i picked mine up at a breakers, audi's and vw's seem to have the same ones.
-
Hears a poor picture of mine, their not quite straight, like most of the mods i do, i will tidy them up some day!
-
quote"BLACKG60" but I fancy the mk4/5 led + pin set up the golfs have, anyone on here got them is it easy to do ? I have the led+pin set up from a mk4 golf , it's very easy to do and looks good. i used door pins from a polo because the golfs were missing, the pins dissapear perfectly flush when locked, which is a nice touch. i will try and post some pictures tomoro.

also (maybe even better) try going down you'r local carpet shop and taking a look at their floorwise or cloud nine foam style underlays. some of the floorwise stuff is basicly identical to dyno matt, and even has a db sound reduction rating (40/60db i think), one bag would cover every squre inch of you'r interior for a very reasonable price. I replaced the very heavy original corrado underlay with this stuff. i'll be sticking panels to the inside of my doors very soon!

I just fitted pin surrounds with led's from a mk 4 golf gti today, they look very nice and oe. just had to make the holes in the door cards a bit bigger, then i wired the led to my alarm, very easy. I used door pins from a polo, but i guess the golf ones fit too. i think new audi's have the same led door pin setup.

cheers guys, the new pics are on the first page (only the top photo is original) i would like to put up more pics, but my phone camera doesn't work with my mac so i have to send them to my email, which costs. i have got an a4 light with hid's to rip apart now, so i might have a go at them too. the a3's are not finished yet, i just test fitted them to check weather the spaceing's looked ok on the car.

Good Salesman & Good Buyer Thread
west-sidereason replied to VR6's topic in Site Comments and Questions
:D I just bought some bbs from shilakadaddy. They arrived well packed and when he said they would. He can also be trusted with large amounts of your cash! pleas add him to the list:D -
Insurance was a big decision swayer for me, so i bought a 1.8 16v, i have probably spent the the cost of a nice vr6 on it in the two years i have had it. i have no regrets though, i will never sell this car. i'm just going to convert it to a 1.8 turbo (modern engine) when i have some spare cash instead. I think you shoud just go for the vr6, whichever one you get it will probably cost the same again in the next two years, if you keep looking at this website!

8) that is one seriously cool camper. i take it you surf pip, what board do you ride? (longboard) why isn't it on the roof? that would be the finishing touch. RETRO

the paint looks good in the photos, i like the wheels too. i have the scorpion dtm, it's far too loud, and doesn't look right either. looks like you'r towing eye is removed too. an all round very nice car.
-
ford, ye i'll test them with my standard grill aswell, they probably are going to look a bit too bad boy for most corrado owners, but the average person will just see modern lights. in my opinion they are just a modernised verion of the corrado lights, same shapes and all. cheers for the comments i thought these would have been slated by now!
-
gaz the geezer, i have no skill, or tools for that matter! most of this was done using only a stanley knife and a pair of plyers, luckily theirs a couple of trim pieces in the audi lights which hide any cut marks nicely! i think that most of the hard work is still to come, but i think i can achieve it, and if i can nearly anyone could do this! especialy if you have something like a dremal.
-
cheers for the posative comments, the inspiration did come from seeing those a4 lights, but luckily i think the new a3 lights are slightly smaller, so with a bit of chopping they fit inside the corrado lights! saving all that hard work. it helps to have a friend at a body shop who does insurance jobs for a audi garage. as far as hard work goes, i have abolutely no skill whatsoever, only the will! i'll post some more pics when the projects advanced, they look a lot better when you can see the whole car.

hears some lights i'm having a go at botching together! their not quite in at the right angles or spacing yet! but i couldn't resist checking them out. opinions

What's the rarest car you've ever seen?
west-sidereason replied to StormVR6's topic in General Car Chat
i used to see a bloke driving around in one of these, he always had a a huge smile on his face, and the top down in any weather! that was untill i saw it written off on the side of the road a couple of weeks back! guess they have just become a little rarer. -
Corrado Spotting was it you [Archive April 06]
west-sidereason replied to mistrall's topic in General Car Chat
do any welsh forum members travel between aberystwyth/camarthen? iv'e seen a few in aber, a blackberry vr6, i waved and got a "ive got the vr6" look in return, a white very low g60? rieger grill, a blue lowered g60. And best of all i regulary see a green rado with cream interior, it also has the solitude alloys, but no storm badges (dealer not fitted?). this car has to be one of the best examples of a vr6 (maybe storm) in the country. it's driven by a 70 plus year old man with wife always in passenger side, he drives it so slowly and carefully you can hardly hear the engine. they both dress in tweed, the woman wears a head scarf, and the man wears a flat cap, country house style. these two style guru's (first seen as a teenager) were my inpiration for buying a corrado. -
mines diamond metalic silver, i haven't seen another in this silver shade before. is it very rare? the corrado looks more modern in silver (just my opinion) and it shows off the lines perfectly, unlike the darker shades. the different angled panels give it a two tone silver effect. (i expect objections)
