Feature (Not really an update, more of a "Did you know?") You can use the BBCode [video ]INSERT FULL URL OF VIDEO HERE[/video ] (without the space) to display videos from places like YouTube inline of your post. You don't need to just put boring links. No, as it said, it won't appear until approved by a Mod. It's a Sunday, give us a break ;) Post approved and it's in your thread. As it says a few posts up - this is a bug I'm trying to squash. It makes no sense why some people are mod'd and others aren't in these sections though.

Update Facebook integration! You can now link your account with your Facebook - or even sign up to the forum just with your Facebook ID. Allows you to "Like" blog posts and forum threads, and even publish to your Facebook. (Scarily cool.. lol) Tweaks to the SQL database setup to speed up the site and hopefully remove the 'hang' we occasionally get Modification to the vBulletin code to allow correct tracking of IPs - this should help those with login issues / timeouts

Update Forum 'blocks' on the forum listing, showing Newly Created Threads and Latest Posts. You can hide them if you wish, however. Yup, all sections under For Sale are currently doing that. Bit of a bug.. trying to get it working as it should. I'll get it approved.

It will log how many messages you have sent, but only save the actual message in your "Sent Items" if you tick the "Save message in Sent Items" box, or set it in your Options.

No, there's no short time limit. I think it's set to something silly like 2-6 hours? This will happen if your browser kills the cookie for whatever reason, however, or some weird web filtering...

Update I've been doing a lot of work in the SQL database that holds all the information (posts, user accounts, etc) for the forum this morning. I have managed to make some global changes: Any reference to the old site http://the-corrado.net/forum/ now correctly points to http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/ - so links, etc, will still work - but direct you to the old forum. No, I can't make it work out where that page is now on the new forum! ;) I have globally changed any HUGE FONTS as size=7 on the old forum was a 'normal' size, but on here, its relative, so they appeared MASSIVE... This should apply to posts and signatures. If your PM box is full, as well as the email, you now get a message at the top of the screen informing you (and reminding you to check your Sent Items too). Donators / Subscribers get a 50,000 message PM box, as opposed to the default 500.. :) I've probably done some other stuff too, but that's enough for now!

Update Just fixed the '4 pictures per post' thingy - sorry, I'd done attachments but it was blocking use of the IMG tag. Limit now raised to 25 per post. And attachments are actually unlimited. Hope that helps!

There is no quoting in PMs as it's not needed. The full message history is expandable beneath the message - so there is no need to 'quote'. If you wish to quote something else, you can still use the quote BB code, however.

No, but in your settings you can set threads to be 'subscribed' to when you post in them (you don't have to receive an email for each reply though) and then view all your threads via the "Subscribed Threads" under Quick Links in the banner.

Turn it on in your Settings in your Profile. Simples :)

You could buy Tapatalk - the site supports that. Or the next version of vB will include a "mobile aware" theme that will automatically show instead of this, and be more finger-friendly. Probably only a couple of weeks away.

There is less cache'ing with the direct. one but it seems there's a couple of ISPs that don't like the cloud-based DNS caching and run really slow. For most other people it's quicker and a lot less demand on the server though (as the 'savings' in the image above shows). And iPad users: why not click on this link. There, that should distract them for a while...

Thanks Pete. I'd appreciate some help with MySQL setup, as I'm sure that's not very optimised. I'm running Lighttp and I know PHP well, so they are setup sweet, but any MySQL assistance you can give would be great. The email account used comes to me. It's ok - sometimes the information in them helps me find faults with the server, settings, etc. Plus it's helping me learn this software ;) I may not post much, but I have access a lot of the time - so can probably help the most. Thanks for caring! ;)
