Don't post pictures in-line - its considered bad forum ettiquette. On photobucket, there is an option to get the code that also gives you thumbnails - use that instead.
-
If uploading them to the forum, there's no need. It will accept any size now (please tell me if it doesn't though?) and will create thumbnails to click on, etc. Yes, you can use paint, or a neater program - if you use XP - is the powertoy from Microsoft: http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... ySetup.exe All you need to do is install that, then just right-click on any picture file and choose 'Resize' :) There's also websites that offer the service too, www.resizr.com is one, for example.

The buying guide is here: http://wiki.the-corrado.net/the_corrado ... klist.html And welcome! ;)

I would suggest you use another garage..? And chains don't have to be done on 100k. My old C was on 235k miles when I sold it - still on original chains and no chatter, wear, etc. Oil was changed and checked regularly, and as far as I could tell, was a well looked after C for all its life.

Take him down!!

Got any skunk?

I suppose, but the new wiki is probably easier than writing posts on here... :) Ok - will make a little section just below the Wiki which you can patrol hehe EDIT: Et voila...
-
I'd rather people just put things in the new Wiki, to be honest. It is meant to be a 'collaborative' program - you don't have to write a full article yourself ;)
-
If you read the forum migration thread, you'll notice its now been permanently taken offline as it wasn't compatible with the new server. However, all the files can be accessed via http://fastpurple.com/wiki/ Just look for the HTML pages in the list and click on them. Or find the ones that start 'category' for the category pages to start from. A bit rough, but we'll tidy it soon! And if you want to start transferring to the new site, please help! :)

Filling out your Profile a bit might help, so then people know where you are.. :) ucp.php?i=164

Have you named it 'Johnny'? I'm sure the Mrs would approve... (numberplate reference) :) Looks very smart, m8.

Global'd - in case anyone over Christmas fancies helping out with the Wiki move and has some free time!! Thank you, all.

Thanks.... err.. I am alive, honest. No drugs involved, though maybe some Lambrini and sex with the Mrs. As for the Knowledge Base - yes, it is screwed. But I don't intend to fix it. Instead, there's a new one... http://the-corrado.wik.is/ It's hosted off-site, so you need to create your own account - same username as on here would help if you can! So please create and edit away. And if you fancy copy-pasting stuff from the old one, that would be very appreciated! There's sadly no simple conversion method, and I simply haven't had the time. Once it has a bit of content, I'll change the links and retire the old wiki. I have other server issues, which I'm about to highlight in another thread, so if anyone has some free time and could help, that would be very cool!

I could always just change your username so we're all right and you're wrong..? ;) As for where we live, etc. I used to live down south, and thought I was happy. Moved up to a nice village just across the Mersey from Liverpool last November and life is so much better. Yes, I have to put up with scousers, but I didn't realise just how depressing and isolating (i.e. no-one talks to you) it is down there.... I live in a massive 2-bedroom flat, with 20ft ceilings, in a picturesque village, pay £400pm rent, and walk to work. Down south I paid £800pm for a flat half the size, and had to drive 5-6 miles to work, taking anything from 20-30minutes. Even traffic is nearly non-existent up here. Let alone the fact I think there's only about 2 speed cameras... ;) Life's what you make of it. If you're really not happy, sometimes a little change will make a big difference. Take care of yourselves, and each other.... (hehe)

Added a poll, in the usual CF style

Know all about the car crisis, though also fully aware it will get a lot worse. I bought the W8 for £8k last July, just provisionally sold it for £5400. Trade-in price would be £2300 if I went through a dealership. I'm going without a car for a bit, then will pick up something mental for stupidly cheap in a year's time...!

Love the fact after spinning off, they then pull right into the driving line doing 20mph... eeejits. I was hoping it was gonna roll.. I wonder if 'Grandma' was kipping in the back or something? ;)
-
I pay £400 for the W8, which is Group 18, and I've just turned 28 (was 27 when took out the Insurance though), so I'd be surprised if you're still paying £400 a few years down the line! That's park on the street, business class insurance, £350xs, protected no claims (8 years, 9 come end of the month hopefully!), and all the usual nice gubbins on top too (windows, etc). Even had 3 points too, though that expired in June. Getting old isn't so bad! :)

Hello and welcome to THE Corrado Forum! Quite a big and scary place isn't it? If you don't know where to start, don't know your signatures from your avatars, or don't know your G60s from your VR6s, that's fine!! We're here to help, and want you to enjoy your stay. So welcome to your little bit. Come say hello, let us know who you are, and you can freely ask any question you like without the need to feel silly. If you're familiar with forums, have a look at the Index and read the descriptions of the various forums. There's quite a few, but it should help you find a right home for your query. It's taken us quite a while to come up with the layout, but we think it allows most things to have a suitable home. If you're not familiar, then let's start by starting a thread and saying hello! (You can't reply to this message, as its a Locked topic, but you're welcome to create your own). To start your very own Hello topic, click here to start!. You will need to have Registered first, so make sure you've done that, activated your account, and logged in first. Please Note: Your first two posts will be placed in a queue to be 'Moderated' first. This is just to protect the site from spam (nothing personal!) so please have a little patience, and a Mod will approve your post ASAP. After you've done 2 posts, you'll be free to post however and whenever you like :) We hope you enjoy your stay, and hope this is the start of a fantastic, fruitful and long relationship between you, your Corrado, and THE Corrado Forum.

Oooh, how did I miss this thread? Yes, I have a W8 and its a great beast! Perfect sleeper and effortlessly whooshes up to 150+mph.. (in Germany, of course). I am, sadly, going to have to sell up in a week or two though. She is used so little (every couple of weeks now!) and with a company car, there's just no point... It's heart breaking, but financially although I'd love to keep her - she will have to go before the depreciation kicks in too much. I'm hoping there's still petrol heads out there that don't care about tax (I certainly don't!) and yes, it will easily do 30mpg :) And beats the living daylights out of most cars off the lights :) Watch this space... :(

And I think with that, its time to take a time-out. I'm gonna lock this now, as its not exactly pretty... -
