  1. Ah, the rev counter is wrong for a VR6 :( Guess its 4-cylinder engines only....
  2. Yeah, my MX5 lockwood white dials you had to remove the needles, but.... http://www.directcarparts.co.uk/images/ ... orrado.jpg "Easy Fit" means you don't remove the needles.
  3. I thought the latest C ones from Lockwood slipped over the needles though - so there was no removal necessary?
  4. That's a bit of a difference from the 36/32psi for 15s though. Since the amount of tread on the road should be the same (i.e. 205) then I assume the pressures should be. Depends how you like your handling too. Personally, I prefer it to be a little fiesty :) I wouldn't always trust what some tyre-shop puts in. They more than likely filled the tyres when they weren't on the car - that is normal practice. So the pressue they get in the tyre is totally different to when each has a 1/4 of 1.5 tonnes sitting on it.
  5. Hmmm, might wait 'til I get very bored one day then... hehe :D Curious - whats your view on white dials?
  6. Easy to do - or a pain in the bum? Where did you get the ultra-white LEDs and a diffuser from? I noticed the ones in the centre console - I think if I went blue, I'd have to do all the other little lights too :)
  7. I was thinking of doing blue dash lights along with white dials. Did that on my MX5 - very neat and glows nicely at night :) Not sure about losing the dimming ability of the dash lights though - I like dimming it all when doing my long-haul night driving. Are the normal dash lights white with green "condoms" on (yes, they are called that..), or green bulbs? Could just get blue bulbs if I can, then keep the dimming ability. Does anyone have a dimmer cable on their stereo loom? I don't. Would like to splice that wire up too but don't fancy pulling the dash apart at the mo... But yeah, jimbo - as we say down here - PHAT :)

    ISV

Alot of the time it isn't required, but if you find the car is running rough, stalling, etc, after having the battery disconnected for more than 10 mins - then you may have to do this. I've had mine disconnected for a few hours and it was fine afterwards - so it just depends! Not the easiest of things to do:

    MPG ?

I've managed 56mpg in the VR6. My radiator had blown and I needed to get home on the M25, so I was hardly touching the gas pedal and plodding round at 50mph for about 15 miles. :) Like I could ever do that again.... I normally get 25ish around town and 31mpg on motorway journeys, but I'm not the slowest of drivers (ahem). I do remember getting 9mpg for the total of my 13 mile drive to work. Think it was a personal record though :D MPG is a little crap at the moment, since from a wee accident, my front left's camber is way out. Tracking is spot on, so when I have the cash, I need to get a 2-wheel alignment done.
  10. What should the PSI be for 205/40/17s on my VR6? Same as if running on 15s? Or a bit higher to stop hitting the rims in a big bump? They're currently at 20psi front and 18 psi rear - but thats cos I've been driving in snow :) Motorway driving tomorrow (well, today now :?) so need to put them back up - and wondered if they should be any different.

    Rain X

I got some Rain X too. Then the snow came. You can't apply it in near-freezing or below temperatures! Glad I didn't though. Doing some electrical work on the car and heard a funny noise whilst the heater was on. Now have a 30cm long crack in the windscreen about 10cm from the bottom, right in the middle of the drivers side. New windscreen next Thursday hopefully - soonist I could get it under insurance. Now that would have been a waste of RainX!!
  12. Would show you the car now - but I went for Physio and it's snowed so much I had to leave my car at the bottom of the road and walk up!! Might go and get it in a while when its stopped chucking it down!
  13. Mine might be a little chilly...... (Yay! Snow!)
  14. It's just a conversion chart for kph to mph
  15. Wasn't asking for me! Could do a Corrado Forum discount though..
  16. Pimping the sis not an option then?
  17. M8, that it horrible to hear :( But, don't forget we are driving cars that are upto 10 years old, which are performance cars and more than just a shopping trolley. Any car - no matter how "apparently" reliable they are will never be perfect. MX5s are supposed to be rock-solid reliable - but I spent a fair couple of Ks on that in the two years of ownership to keep it on the road. It's up to you and what you want when you're driving. I don't see cars as just an object with wheels to get me from A to B - and I doubt I would ever drive "a shed" as I would hate it. I need a car I enjoy, I enjoy being looked at in, and enjoying spuring conversations up about. FSH isn't the great deal it once was. Anyone with any brain can figure out how well a car has been looked after. Yes, if there is none, you might wonder whats happened - but if the majority is there, you should be able to see the car was/is regularly cared for, etc. Leccy mirrors. You taken the control bit out and cleaned all the connectors? They get very gunky. Heater controls - mine is similar - won't go down to feet, only face and screen. It's just a Corrado thing. Live with it or find a spare day to take your dash apart. I'm currently voting for the former :D Stone chips. Yeah, well, it happens. How much you worry about it is up to you. Whether the next buyer will is another thing. Personally I don't, since it's rather impossible to drive in the UK for any distance and NOT get stone chips. As long as the paint that's still left on is ok - I'd be happy :) Parking bumps. See http://www.youcantdrive.co.uk :D Don't do it, Don't Do It, DON'T DO IT!! You WILL regret it. Plus I will constantly remind you what a plonker you are if you flog it. Sell your Mum or something. Your sister - can't you pimp her to pay for the car? Something, ANYTHING!
  18. Can't read the ATx Hosting advert underneath it though ;)
  19. Plus on the M25 I hit 180k miles. The old girl is still going strong!
  20. Can I have an award for the dirtiest Corrado ever?? This is the effect of driving 170 miles on gritted roads and over-taking a gritting truck, whilst it's gritting all 3 lanes on the M25. Nice :)
  21. Aye, with the server failure at the weekend - had to go back to the last backup which meant we lost a little bit. Not a lot I could do - sorry :(
  22. My Mrs. wants Cat Deeley. Hey, I'm game ;) I ain't done Xmas shopping. 'Cos I've been in hospital and bed-bound, couldn't :( It's the thought that counts... and I've thought about it... My C is getting a new front left tyre and just had a new driver's side wing mirror (just the mirror bit). Lucky car. Bet all I get is chocolate.
  23. Where's it coming from, front or back? If back - could be a slightly sticky caliper... If front - have you fed the mouse that runs on the wheel in the engine bay yet? Maybe he wants some cheese. (No, I haven't been drinking - just couldn't think what to write for the fronts -) Does it do the same when starting off with the wheels turned? Or just straight? Is it all the time from stand-still - or just when the car is cold?

    New wheels?

Sorry, I'm used to having a car with full camber / castor / angles / tow setup... :) Camber on my front left is right out. Need to get that sorted at some point... Ah the list

    VR6 induction kit??

I have a Stoeve Motorsport induction kit - which is louder than a K&N ;) Very rare and apparently the only VR6 one in the UK 8) Good luck with your search though :)
