i must admit this was very nearly the case at one point last week but..... 1, I love this car. 2, Would feel i have let gav down if i scrapped it. 3, A fully welded in 10point roll cage. 4, Its a genuine lhd g60 shell with big transmission tunnel-bonded screen etc basiclly based on the us spec mk2 and alot stronger than a std mk2 shell. So she is getting a new lease of life just a little more work than we first thought...

Ok guys lets clear this up... The reason i dont sell rebuild kits is beacuse these parts can't just be fitted in any way and if fitted incorrectlly could cause the supercharger to fail due to oil starvation, the reason i stopped selling the kits was beacuse i dont like to sell anything i can warrant myself and chargers are expensive things to replace . i understand alot of engineers etc are proberly very cabale of rebuilding there oWn units but i have chosen to use the one rule for everyone in this situation. Im sorry if this is fustrating for some people but please see it from my point of view and who would be the first person you rung if your charger did fail... just not worth tarnishing my name for sorry...

yes that makes sense gav as the whole o/s front end has been replaced at some piont in its life. It looks like it was carried out when it was relativley young in life though just a shame the repair wasn't 100%.. oh well it will all be good.

been spending any spare time last week " and for the next few years i think" startig to prepare the old girl for the paint shop. very nearly scrapped the whole car due to major rot cause by damage early in the cars life. will be keeping this updated here as work progreses dubforce

oil in the boost pipe if more than a light mist is not a good thing. but its also not the end of the world just needs looking at.

try changing the king lead ant.

i dont think your sunroof is factory fitment so it wont have the same wiring as 99.9% of the sunroof owners on here... time to get the multi-meter out im afraid.

Another reason for oil in your airbox is if for some reason your engine is breathing quite heavily. This oil is coming from the boost-return pipe and being blown across the top chamber of your g-lader,wether it be an oil seal in your g-lader or the engine breathing heavily i would be looking into to it sooner rather than later. Pull of the boost hose going across the bck of the fan and see what you find in there.

u would need a bloody long arm... :lol: :lol: this is just a far more accurate gauge not a tool for adjustment

i think you might have problems with this offset tbh. also what size tyres are you thinking of running ?

Maybe to much tension was used at some point on the pulleys, if the water pump was slightly weak that would of been enough to finish it off.It might not even be the water pump you cant condem it really with out doing your own tests and i deftinatly wouldn't reccomend pulling parts of before getting somone to take a god look at it first. By the way what make of serpintine belt was fitted before this noise started ?

sould be fine we never have any problems with any of our cars and they run at this sort of height all the time...

i would suspect your water pump too..

i had this conversation with brian last night.... IT CANT SUCK its allways under a positive pressure. you have problems if its not under positive pressuse on that side of the throttle body.
