  1. You get oversteer without the poly bushes you mean? And it stays in a straight line with them?
  2. It's a big job to fit them you see, I don't want to fit them and find that I'm not happy with them.
  3. So would you buy VAG bushes now then if you had the choice? Or would you stay with the polys? Also, how much did you pay for the poly bushes?
  4. Umm....No. I can't afford that! Was only thinking about it as it seemed a chep mod.
  5. Right, the guy I bought the car from is sending me these as the ones on the car are badly corroded. He said the reason he didn't fit them is because he had been told the car can become a bit "skittish" with these fitted? Does anyone have any experience of having these fitted on their own car, and how it handles with them on? If it helps you out, the rest of the car is fully poly bushed, lowered 35mm on standard (i THINK, they may be uprated gas) shocks.
  6. OK, so i take it VR's are 5 stud? *awaits barrage of newbie abuse* If so, do I have any bigger-brake options for a G60?
  7. Right, had a good look through here, would it be the same to fit 312mm discs and 2-pots on a G60? I got BBS splitties so space shouldn't be an issue. If i can't afford the 2-pots then I'd just go for normal bigger calipers, this wouldbe the same right?
  8. can you not beat the dent out, with a piece of wood, a hammer and some patience? And with the kerbed one, can you not take ti down to an engineering firm, so they cann put it on a lathe and re-polish the lips?

    Mk2 Clocks on Mk1

How easy is it to fit MK2 clocks up to a MK1 C? Is there any rewiring/bodging to be done or will the go straight on? Cheers. Ronan
  11. I also need one too....
  12. So hi then, I bought my first Corrado on friday. an H plate G60 in Tornado Red. The previous owner is a member on the forum here, but here's the spec in case you don't know the car... Engine - R1 spec Charger, 65mm Pulley, RSR outlet, ported, polished, and re-furbed head, Oil breather system and catch tank, boost re-route system, Stage 5 SNS Chip, NOlogy leads, Stainless inlet pipe with stainless heat shield and mesh filter, full Milltek exhaust system with de-cat. Suspension/Wheels/Brakes - Lowered 35mm, 17" BBS Split Rims, Tarox grroved discs and Tarox pads. Exterior mods - Standard except for debadged grille and eyebrow spoiler, which as of yet isn't fitted. Interior - Full black Leather Interior including doorcards IT ran 215bhp at TSR a few weeks ago before I got it, but it needs a FMIC on it to cool it down a bit, it's suffering from massive heatsoak and should be running about 20bhp more. Having a few teething problems with it at the moment, I have a random untraceable oil leak, we're slowly eliminating everything so will find the cause of the problem soon, and the gear linkage snapped yesterday so waiting til monday so I can get it back on the road. I do love it though, I love the noise, the low down power, and the pure grunt. Some pics for you:

    My new G60

It's definitely not running rich, we checked the plugs, that's fine. Will check the vacuum hose today.

    OK sorry. Anyone?

    My new G60

Righto, just bought a new G60 but I'm having a few problems with it, the biggest being an oil leak. I can't see where it is coming from, my friend seems to think it is coming from the crank seal, which would indicate too much crankcase pressure? We have compression tested the engine, they were all between 150 - 180. There was some oil in the catch tank, we have emptied that, going to see what happens. It's a modified engine, here's the spec, if it helps:65mm pulley,G-werks rs charger rebuild(2,000miles ago),red top injectors, rsr outlet, ported and polished head and refurbed ,stage 5 sns chip, oil breather system, boost re-route system,,de-catted,hot wire racing leads, metal inlet air pipe stainless steel air filter I also have a misfire between 4600-redline, it didnt seem to do it an lower temps, just high temps, but struggles to pull through it, the plugs are all brand new G40 Items. Any help would be much appreciated.
  16. I'll call you again tomoro mate, I want it! Sell it to me!!!
  17. I have considered a VR but I have plumped for a G because I think they're easier to tune than a VR6? I might be totally wrong there, but never mind. I don't wanna go spending loads on an engine rebuild on a VR6 to get more power out of it, when with a G you can refurb the charger, pulley, chip, etc etc.... Any more opinions on this G60? Thanks guys, the advice is appreciated. And yeah, I've been warned that owning a Corrado can be an expensive experience!
  18. Bit harsh on yourself there Chris, but ok, consider yourself ignored! lol ;)
  19. Yeah I read the buyers guide, that told me what to look out for but I couldn't get a good idea of exactly how much things would cost me. I've been looking at other Corrados, but I think if I got one I would want some of the mods already done, Yes I am in modifying my own car, but as I am on a budget I'd like the expensive thing's to have been done for me already! So one person says that G60 is worth it, and one doesn't - I'm back where I started again! I'm meant to be looking at it tomoro, any more opinions?
  20. I don't know why that's just randomly posted again - can a mod remove it please? Thanks :|
  21. I've seen another G which tickle's my manly fancy-stick, what do you guys think, is it a little overpriced or is it worth the money he's asking? Auto Trader Link Thanking you muchly
  22. OK, definitely looking into getting a G60 soon, and I just wondered how much these parts/repairs typically are on a corrado: Front splitter, howmuch for a new one? Sunroof/Spoiler - I know this is a common problem and I have heard stories saying oh the motors are X amount each etc etc, typically, how much is that to repair? Faulty alarm which is draining the battery - i know they came with alarms from the factory so how much would that be? I know these are vague questions, but just an average/estimate will do. Cheers, Ronan
  23. Hi there, I'm making a claim against my work so should be coming into some money in the next few months, and decided balls to the insurance (I have a couple of accidents on my history, one my fault, one not) I'm gonna get a quick car again, so I'ce decided on a G60. Now I've read the buyers guide, and had a trawl through the For Sale section and Auto Trader, and reckon I can pick up an average one for 2-2.5k? I don't mind if the bodywork is a bit doggy, or if it needs some work, as I can do some stuff myself, it's always nicer to do stuff to your own car too, rather than buy a minter, I think. There's a few things I wanted to know too - the "later spec" interior that a G60 never came with - does that include the bucket-style rear seats? I like them, theyre cool. Spoiler/Sunroof motors - these sound like a common problem, and I'm guessing uber-pricey, do I not touch anything with either of those problems? How well does a standard Corrado handle (I know this is a Corrado site tho so may get a bit of a biased answer!)? Ideally I'd want to buy one lowered/with coilies (ambitious for my budget) but if the right car comes up with std suspension then I'll get that. How much extra will I pay on a left hooker for insurance? Anyone got one? Are they much of a pain in the ass? I think that's it for now, long post for a newbie but hey! Thanks in advance for your helpful suggestions  :D
