Oh, my mate said he'll race you in this....on a private test track though obviously! Mazda Xedos....in case you didn't know. Family car....
-
The Beemer does, the Civic does, the Nova does, the Teg is from Liskeard way. Go down past Guildhall one night and see what's about, there's also a 5 door left hooker white Golf G60 about thats a bit quick! VeeDub Rado, yeah, I'm sure it will. I think the Nova would eat a standard VR6, but the supercharged one on here? Hmm....the Teg, maybe, Civic, depends on setup. I know of a few cars about that may compete with the 300bhp Vr though.
-
They WILL rape you mate, even if you had a VR6. The Teg is running about 280bhp... Beemer is about 240...He wanted it red, he's got a whole Red/Black theme going on with it. The black Car is a Civic VTi Coupe...Turbo. Also should be running some silly power when it's mapped, so it too will rape you. Should be looking at about 260-300bhp.
-
Nothing wrong with the Teg, the Beemer is OK, and the Civic, well, it's Rice all over. But it's running a highly specced Turbo'd B16 so I'll let him off.
-
Westward Ho!, is in North Devon, near Bideford. The Nova isn't mine, it's a mate of mine from Plymouth. I gave him a hand with the engine, was originally a 1.2! Here's a couple more cars that will rape you if you try and race them - this car was hit by an idiot driver but will be back soon... This is also fairly rapid, not an M3 either.... This Rice rocket aint too shabby either... Just to let you know what to look out for on Plymouth's roads....
-
The pink nova is only a 2l 8v mate. It's dog slow. Try your hand against this one instead...it's a 170bhp 2l 16v.
-
Because it makes you look like a chav twat.

Oops. Off topic - Honda revolutions is a great site

I know the guy with the Maroon one, it's fecking gorgeous. has a 1.8t Lump, is running 9x16 Azev A's, side exit exhaust, smoothed out the rear plate, I love the car. I don't know about the G60, it's not mine lol! I'm a fair way away, I've heard of thie other red one going around though. There's also a red one with the full Rieger kit on thats from down near Newquay, also has a 1.8t lump, he's in plymouth sometimes.

Right, ok, so it prob won't work then. I'll see later on this week.
-
How do you get VAG-COM information then?
-
OK, took my car down to TJH Motorsport, company in Barnstaple, Devon. They did another couple of compression tests, and yes, that cylinder IS down. The guy in there though, who is very experienced (just as comparision they actually have a 406 Coupe Touring Car in there right now) thinks that the loss in compression isnt the sole cause of my problems. He thinks there may be a fuelling problem, or some other problem somewhere else, so a new engine/rebuild may not be on the cards just yet. He suggested, sometime this week, plugging his laptop into the diagnostic port to get live results while I drive the car. He is not sure however, since my car has an SNS chip, if it will read it. It reads the MK3 GTi they have there, so does anyone know if their software will give live results off a Corrado?
-
Yeah I know, cheers mate. I'm still driving it around, it's not just sat here, I mean, it go another 6 months, who knows. I'm off to get a cylinder leakage test in a minute, see how bad the bad news is.
-
Surely after being used to Candian cars though, all uprated suspension will be too stiff? I'm assuming that most Canadian cars have similar suspension settings to American ones....rather barge-like

I don't want top money fo rit, I just dont want to lose nearly 2 grand on it. I reckon I'd be happy with about 2600, is that silly money to ask for it?
-
I don't want to sell it if i get the engine sorted - thats why I'm considering selling. I know what it's worth if it was mint. I just don't think I can afford to have it rebuilt, or replace the bottom end on it at the moment. I know I could get good money for it if I broke it, but I don't want to do that.
-
I could break it for more than that. I haven't, no, it's at my mate's garage at the moment. I can get some though. Are you interested in buying it?
-
I say again - Without.

Right ok here is the spec of my car: Engine: Ported & Polished Head, R1 Charger, rebuilt 3-4k ago, 65mm pulley, Stainless heat shield, stainless mesh induction kit, Nology Hotwire Leads, G40 plugs, Red injectors, SNS Stage 5 Chip, EIP Solid front engine mount, Oil Breather Kit/Catch Tank, Boost Re-route removed, full Milltek Exhaust. Wheels - 17" BBS RK2 Split Rims, need the lacquer sanding off, or a refurb. Also have a spare, which needs straightening out. Suspension - Lowered 40mm (I think) on springs, and *POSSIBLY* uprated gas shocks - I'm not sure on the shocks. Front has been fully poly bushed, I have the rear axle bushes in a box waiting to be fitted. Bodywork - All standard, except a Kamei front eyebrow spoiler, which is on the car at the moment but I may take it off as it needs spraying. The paint is in generally good condition, apart from the patches of lacquer on the drivers side, on top of the door. There is a small amount of damage on teh n/s/r corner - small dent in bottom corner of bootlid, and dent on the bit between the bumper and lights. They're easily fixed, but may need spraying. The bumper is damaged, but I have a spare in the garden, which would need to be sprayed. I may even do the prep work myself one day if I'm bored! Interior - Full (including doorcards and later-style window switches) black leather interior in mint condition, no rips or tears, only very slight marking on drivers side bolster (not leg bolster). Also has Black carpets, and Black Dash. Has an expensive Alpine headunit, with Infinity 6x9's in a stealth rear shelf. Also has a false floor in the boot, with all the wiring necessary for amps and/or subs. The mileage is 133k, but the condition overall is good for a 15 year old car. I also have a few spares hanging round too - I have a spare radiator, the original standard pulley for the charger, some of a gasket set, a FMIC intercooler - I don't know what it's off but it is quite large. Hopefully this will give you a bette idea of what the car may be worth? Cheers guys. Sorry for the long post.

Hmmm...if that is definitely the law then maybe I should make a few calls next time he leaves mud all over the road on this other corner, see if anything happens (doubt it).
-
On the way to my girlfriends there is another corner that regularly has mud across it and is slippery all winter - are they actually required by law to clean it up?
-
That comment. It may have been taken in the wrong context, now I look at it again, in which case I apologise.

The early one is about 18 quid from a dealer.
