What sort of cleaner should i be looking to get CorradoDriver, ??

Thanks for the pointers fellas. Started the car again later today and it ran fine however the clicking/cracking is still hapenning. Checked the history file for the car and the leads are ancient so think im gonna bin them as a matter of course and see how i get on from there. Ill check out the other suggestions, get the leak fixed and fingers crossed for happy motoring agin. Thanks again.

Understand im a little older but i can recommend confused.com also. They gave me a shed load of quotes and admiral came up trumps. Another suggestion is someone i know your age goes with hyperformance and he says they are the elephants danglies.

Im having a nightmere with the car at the moment, firstly ive sprung a difficult to find coolant leak and this morning i took the car out and it felt terrible. It feels like a misfire and when i lifted the bonnet i can hear a clicking sound. I thought that the car must be cold and a bit damp after 24 hrs of rain but this has continued once its warmed up. Does anyone have any ideas?? Hoping its gonna be a leads and plugs job. I could also do with a recommendation of a garage to sort my leak, am in Durham but spend most of my time down south so dont really know any garages in the North East. Advice greatly appreciated.

I managed to break the spring loaded bump stop mounted on the inside of the tailgate. After retreiving the main body of it from inside the panel i went to try and refit it. I seem to have lost part of it though as it cannot be secured back on. Could somebody do me a big favour and open their boot and see how it is attached, ie is it a screw thread collar type thing or something along those lines. Intend to visit the dealers to get the bit missing but dont want to end up with the wrong bits. Cheers. Goldie.

The level has definitely fallen. Dont get me wrong its not empty and i did pop a bit extra in the other day.

Fairly sure it coolant. Would the clutch slave leak be very thin liquid and would it evaporate from the road??

Its a bit of a stange one because when the car is running it appears the dripping stops but one i knock the engine off thats when the leak starts and it keeps going until the car cools down. It has started to get noticeably worse over the last couple of days. craigowl, How many hoses are included in the Samco kit and how much did it set you back if you dont mind me asking?? Am tempted to upgrade while sorting this out. Appreciate the advise guys. Cheers

Ive recently aquired a leak from the gear box end of my VR6. Just below where the hoses join the engine ive got a nice little puddle sitting on the gear box. Ive checked the hoses and cant see anything obvious. It only appears to leak just after the car has been run. Has anybody had the same problem or does anyone have any words of wisdom on how to sort it??

Once youd removed the wiper have you binned the motor, wiring and the switch as well? Think i can feel a little trip to the paint shop coming on in the near future.

Has anyone had to replace the plastic roof strips?? My drivers side one has gone rotten and needs changing. Any ideas on price and ease of removal and fitting new one much appreciated. Cheers Goldie

Once the fan has ran at 110, it will cool itself back down to about 100 to 105. Is there a way to check the stages of fans running?? Grateful for the advice.

If the fan is kicking in at 110 is that over the top??

Can anyone advise me as to what their running oil temp is for a standard VR6 and the temperature that the cooling fan should kick in please?? Little concerned mines getting a little hot under the collar and prevention is better than cure. Cheers fellas.
