  1. ok, i've joined up.. but just had a pm from Bernie Eccleston, we need to pay him ..in blood, and our souls, to use the the title "F1" All Hail the poison dwarf..lmao steve...
  2. thanks for all your help guys, but my wife has made my mind up for me.....after screaming at me for nearly an hour, telling me how much she loves the c, i have decided to scrap the idea, im getting the c fully fixed up, running and looking as she should, (yes it is a she, cos she's playing up at the moment. im now going to buy a mk 2 scirocco gt2, seen better days, but will do while the c is off the road, then i will restore the s once the c is back on the road. once again, many thanks to you all steve...
  3. Well, i have been thinking for some time about this, but here goes, im thinking about selling the C, and buying an Audi 2.8 quattro coupe, on a k plate, or a 2.6 coupe (fwd) on an M plate. the C is getting a little small in the back for the kids, although they dont go out in it much, they do sometimes have the pleasure (they love the noise it makes dont get me wrong, i love the C, but its getting more impractical. if anyone out there has owned an Audi coupe, with either of these engine specs, can drop me a line and let me know what they are like, it would be appreciated, and if anyone wants an l plate C in dragon green i may have it up for sale soon, i post in the relevant section when it comes to sell btw. please, someone help me with my decision...plllzzzzzzzzzzzz Steve
  4. Ello, welcome to the forum, enjoy your stay, it's gonna be a long one.... :D What C you got???? Steve.
  5. does he throw in a pair of binoculars to see the speedo/rev counter/fuel guage, and what about finger extentions to reach the stalks. well, it's still a pile of 5h1t, waste of money, now if it was in a different shell...a polo perhaps.......
  6. Welcome.. :D this might sound daft but, considering the limited availability of body panels/parts in general for the C, i would probably use the skoda as a track car, then buy a decent VR or G60 for everyday or weekend use....lol only joking...nice VRS tho, we get a few of those in work, and they are suprisingly quick, although i think they are a bit on the heavy side. best of luck finding a C...
  7. is it the reasonably gutless 2.0, or the reasonably impressive 2.7????
  8. Sorry, but that has just gone right over my head......
  9. thanks very much....appreciated :D
  10. how do i go about getting CCGB membership??? and how much does it cost? once my front end re-build and re-spray are done, i would like to go to some show's/meets if anyone could help me...please do many thanks steve
  11. i normally charge about £50-£60 for a patch-weld to a sill, that includes cutting out the rust, rust treatment, the welding/grinding/finishing, seam seal and stonechip/shultz, Then it can be over-painted in the colour of your choice by a body/spray shop
  12. i used to have the same donk noise from the nearside front when i pulled away, i checked everything, untill one of the guy's at work noticed the nearside driveshaft had a tiny bit of play in it whilst it was on the 2-poster, i stripped it off, and.........bits fell out all over the place, replaced the shaft, and..........no more donking.. :D , hope this helps steve
  13. i stood and stared at mine for about 10 minutes, then got told to get back to work....killjoy boss
  14. after working on a few of these pathetic excuses for a car, and i use the "car" word with my tongue in my cheek (i have to weld another one up tomorrow), i would say that it hit a juvenile blue bottle or a piece of dust.
