How many of those needed a rebuild?

I expect an F1 car is poor below 3k rpm, but I wouldn't say it had "underwhelming performance"!

My old VR use to go like a bat out of hell between 4k and 6k! All the people I gave rides too in the 2½ years of ownership would agree with me. The performance of the VR6 is nothing short of fantastic.

How do you come to work that out!? The VR6 is pretty damn quick by todays standards even though it's 15 odd years old! Quote Parkers: "is well equipped with serious power and precision." Sounds like you need an OE exhaust from VW.

Lable everything and take lots of photos, before, during and after. Good luck.

Similar but not the same unfortunately, the spokes are slimmer on the Scooby ones and there are no holes between the main wheel bolt holes. :)

There nice, look a bit like a Borbet wheel I remember a few years ago, no idea what model though.

If I had stuck a 2.8 V6 into one of those, when I came to sell it I would have some details of the conversion, also some photos of the engine bay. Not to mention I wouldn't have all the details for a 1.6 model on the page either. As for weight, by the time you dropped a V6 and all the extra bits in to make it work I doubt it will be much lighter than a Corrado. I've sent a message asking a few more questions.
