I must admit when you drove away in McDonald’s car park on the Saturday morning it certainly didn’t sound like an exhaust issue to me. The engine sounded like a right rattler, so it was a good job we met in the morning.

Anyone know the number of SKF wheelbearings for VR6
Sy_VW replied to Mawrick's topic in Suppliers Forum
You can find out the SKF kit number for a specific model by following the link below. I'm sure you can buy the bearing kits directly from SKF but either way once you have the kit number I assume they can be bought at any SKF dealer. http://compass2.vsm.skf.temp.pi.se/Index_Car.aspx?page=cars/carToKits.ascx&language=en-GB -Ben -
I've got the Porsche wheels on mine.... but given the choice the BBS are the ones to have!! . . . . Only thing is that the BBS are 16" and IMO 17" look better, filling the arches nicely.

Nice looking Corrado and nice wheels (don't get me wrong)...... but in my opinion I would say they aren't the best suited together. I had a set of Design 90's on my G60 for a week or two then sold them and got the Turbos. On the mk1 Golf they look superb, but I feel they dont suit the Corrados curves as well. Another point would be that they have been kind of done to death. Still lowering the car etc will transform it into a really good looking car! Keep it up.

In English thats "Complete white leather recaro interior, the seats are electric and heated . They have covered 4000 km and are in perfect condition Included is the complete instrument panel (without clocks). Email the guy for more information or photos. You get all the switches and wiring harness for the electric heated seats". Somthing like that anyway. Shame they are bright white but still quite nice all the same. All for the best part of a grand!

G60.. what's it worth?.. Now Bristolbarons Gallery!
Sy_VW replied to bristolbaron's topic in Members Gallery
About £1750 as long as the engine is in good condition, serviced charger, desirable interior. It really only needs a full respray/small amount of bodywork to get it back into shape. Then the buyer would have a sweet Corrado for around the £3000 mark, maybe cheaper. -
Cheers Guys I had the rear badge painted body colour whilst I was having some other bits done. The alloys are 17". It used to sit lower but it was getting silly whenever I met a speed hump. I must be getting sensible in my old age :)

I had always wanted the Porsche wheels way back when GTi International was at the TRL. Now they are a bit common place but still they suit the Corrado. The Colour is VW Black. No fancy VW name. I can't remember the paint code off the top of my head

Having owned my Corrado for almost two years and been on this forum for over a year, I thought it was about time I shared a few pictures of my G60 with the rest of you. Feel free to comment :!:

I've had the Pace waterpump on the car for a couple of months now and it is very quiet. You can't hear it when the bonnet is shut. The only way that I know it is working is to look into the swirl pot to see the water moving and also to touch the nice cold charge cooler 8) . Before that I went through numerous water pumps all of which packed up due to continuous use.

The bigger 235mm matrix. This fits perfectly to the side of the standard radiator but you can locate them elsewhere!
-
I have a Polo radiator situated in front of the standard G60 one. As for the water pump, I asume you mean for the charge cooler. I would recommend Pace Motorsport. Not cheap, but purpose built for the application and suitable for continuous running!

My G60 had a mk1golf oil cooler which fitted fine when I bought the car  . I decided to replace it with a Mocal 13 row which works fantastic as you would expect considering Mocals reputation in motorsport. Its got to be a must for any performance car/race car.

Saw a sweet Storm on the M25 junction 25. Registration plate was 'VR S1X' which says it all. The bird in the passenger seat looked pretty nice as well.

Thats a nice G60. Just how I like them, few visual mods as they look fantastic as they are. Also nice clean engine. I hate it when people spend ages cleaning the outside but the engine lets the car down. You don't have to go over the top polishing anything and everything to get a good result IMO I'm running the standard BBS at the moment and realise just how much better they handle over my 17's. Am thinking about getting a set of BBS RM's 8)
