good lord, give the guy a break..... mate if i was closer, i'd do it for you. strip of the bits and panel....... get yourself a plastic sheet (anything works i.e im a cop, i used large evidence bags.....black bags can be used) then get urself sum spray glue....glue the metal and stick the bag down, pressing firmly making sure it seal all the way around..... AND/OR check the door seal for splits....and the door plastic sill aswell....... if damage, this maybe where it leeks in. hope this helps. bob

not to be funny, any1 thought to grease the runners (bottom of window) as these gather dirt, ie not running smoothly........and spray sum WD40 down the side rubber runners? ie help the go up and down....... :salute:

Ive only just swapped to MK3 golf calipers and changed the front brake hoses as they had sight wear... and ball joints too. aint got around to putting it though mot again yet...

you shouldn't need to change this mate....its only air that goes though it.......its a Grey cylinder shape with exit points....i would be surprised if it goes faulty....sits behind the metering head. bob

i tend to rub the wheels down with wet+dry, depending on condition of wheels apply primer, wet+dry again, then panel wipe them, clean of any dirt, then apply paint in layers. Layers 1."the biting layer" - light coverage of spray paint. 2. 2nd light spray paint, 3.allow to dry and then wet+dry and panel wipe again, 4.slight heavier coat of paint 5. Allow to dry over night 6. light wet and dry, panel wipe, again coat it 7.lacquer if you wish. yeh it does.......describe your fob to me ........mines has a lock button, yellow button with a star on it, then unlock button, under it all is the AUX button.......ur number matches mine....

metering head? the CO screw is there (where you control the fuel supply) or poss warm up regulator...

no paper work? poss rear of fob

ok mate, you've got the older style to me. As you might know the alarm is made by clifford, the only way with these was to confuse the alarm by leaving the door open as you did.......that was going to be my alternative....do you have the model number for the alarm.

its a possible..if its an ignition problem...check the three wires that go to it aswell.....(connection/erosion ) .....and no harm in checking the rotor arm.......my brothers got a 2.0 16v in his mk1 golf...he sometimes burns these out.(rotor arm)

yes, the plastic bit and metal bit that goes in the head.
