you'll need to PM me in order to give me the new address mate, i don't have your home address -
there was a nice one going on the for sale forum the other day for 2k.... totaly standard but great nick and millage. Now is the time to buy... You could do what the Corrado Club chairman has done and start collecting them!
-
lol... Think when KUR2Y (who makes the looms in the first thread) came to measure the his nice new bulbs aren't very bright he came up with something like a 2 volt drop between the battery and the bulbs... as i said the Germans can't do wiring.
-
They are very crap! Try using the search box in the top right.... you'll find most things that way. But to save you the bother... and because I'm such a nice chap and all.... viewtopic.php?f=25&t=74542 viewtopic.php?f=15&t=96950 Both those are for uprated looms but the first ones are available now. However, the second link provides you with the OEM connectors that go with the loom. Up to you who you go with

if you mean look out for things that may brake then EVERYTHING mate  Germans can engineer like no one but their electrical skills are often lacking! But there are loads of little MODs and thing that you can get to improve the car dude, most of them covered in here. To start with there is the: moon roof mod Uprated headlight loom Windscreen whiper fix and for you a 280mm brake conversion from the OEM ones to the ones off the G60. But there are hundreds of things to look out for. Your best bet is to rummage round on the forum and see what you find! And Welcome to the fold!

When you say 40mph... is that in any gear? or do you mean before a certain rev range? -
you posted your porblems on here? most questions can be answered quite quickly on here. Going for a G60 conversion or something else? is it a 8v or a 16v? come on spill the beans

You and me both! :salute:
-
Less than a wife? Maybe not... LOL they're more like the bit on the side that you have to constantly keep keen with luxury apartments, priceless jewels and constant "servicing" while the wife works her life away at home... still fun thou! Nice C! What is she?
-
don't worry too much mate, unless you go away forever there will always be C's to find in the future :) as a side note, £4500 is not bad for the mods you have. Trouble is you can buy a pretty nice looking VR for less so you may take a while to sell. Good luck though!
-
just checked... All the C's in Oz are imported from the US... You'll find them expensive and very hard to come by. Sorry dude
-
I'd get a credit card to pay for the trip and get a years Visa... You can't stay in oz indefinitely without working and they're funny about their VISA's too, but it you get a job you can pay for the trip after you get there if yo u follow. But if you Still wont to sell it then fair enough, All my pals that went to Oz to work Loved it. :smug: Edit: Dunno if they sold the corrado in Australia mate...
-
dude... you on just got it? can't you declare it sorn and keep it at a relatives while your away? how long are you going for?
-
doesn't help if you buy off ebay though does it? I saw a bocsh Starter on there for £50 new... It's not important mate... I just wish it was easier to understand
-
how is a monkey like me supposed to know these things... :( Is the prefix and suffix information explained anywhere... Should I just not bother to try and understand? This thread was less to do with what part number i needed and more to do with the reasons why the part numbers are so complicated? (sorry to nag)
-
whats the difference between that and the #02A911023EX though?
-
That ETKA is far easier to undersatnd!... still a bit complicated with the #'s and +'s everywhere though. I just feel that VW are making it as confusing as possible. Thanks Dave!
-
I know every one on here promotes the use of Vagcat for getting part numbers... but being a little dense i seem to be having trouble with virtualy every part number because they have around 4 or 5 part numbers for each part! Does it matter which one i pick? for instance... a starter motor: 167000.png[/attachment:l9n06fzb] Looks like there are LOADS of part numbers for the 1.1kw motor (i drive a G60 and i think that's what i need) 02A911023EX 055911023MX 02A911023L 02A911023TX 020911023F 020911023NX All very similar but all different... is this VAG just changing the numbers or is each one unique??
