  1. lift an arm up (wiper arm :) ) look under the arm at the base piece that is bolted to the spindle where the spring connects, either side you will see a little ledge moulded into the casting of the arm base when the arm is in the down position the long part of the arm rests on those ledges you can test where it sits by removing the wiper and carefully lowering the arm to the screen you'll see the arm stops short of the screen by a couple of cm by filing off a bit of the ledge the arm will sit closer to the screen and press shallow wiper blades to the screen at all positions along the wiper sweep This is brills! And i was gunna splash £80 on the lupo Wipers!
  2. I could give you the details for the company I used to turn them mate... But in truth it's not worth doing again as a group buy. You need at LEAST 50 people to make it viable and I don't think there is enough interest left in the forum... Your best bet is to try and get hold of a second hand window mech i reckon, but if you wont the details then drop me a PM
  3. sorry to hear this dude!... I have possibly 2 spare sets after having to replace ones that have gone missing in the post. Trouble is there are almost 5 or 6 other people that have given their details for "spares". Once i've sorted out that everyone got their rollers that should have I'll talk to the other people wanting them and let you know if you can jump ahead (if there are any spares left!) sorry mate, tis the best i can do
  4. They should have got to you by now mate... PM me your address and ill check i sent them to the right place
  5. A standard letter envelope, White with large stamp. they are in there wrapped in bubble wrap.
  6. could it be that i'm just out of tune with the young-uns? and that my old and decrepit mind is out of touch with current testing methods! :confused4:
  7. In bike tests and CBT's the first part of the test (in my experiance) was learning about the bike... how to check the chain, oil, tyres etc. Making sure it's safe before you set off. Driving lessons teach you nothing of those things... seems silly doesn't it.
  8. When I pulled into the work carpark this morning, a colleague in his Mondeo was just spinning and going nowhere. Our carpark is block paved and snow on top of that seems to make a nice ice rink compared to tarmac. Anyway, after watching him struggle to park his car, I got out and offered to push him and he asked me which wheels were spinning because he had a shovel in the boot? LOL, how can people not know what wheels are driven on their own car? :cuckoo:  I guess some folk really are that ignorant when it comes to cars! It also proves that people don't RTFM when buying anything any more! He could have been asking which side was spining? although... You should still dig out both wheels that are driving the car.
  9. .... me to Ben !![/quote:1ij8xxn1] I was going to print off a little note to stick inside but I was in a rush sorry!
  10. And by doing so you have highlighted the fact that Kris still hasn't posted another link for the ones he put up! Curses that Boy!
  11. Hello! Well... just to let you all know what I have been doing recently, I've been helping out a pal. Not sure if anyone on here is a member of SVAG forum but if you are then this - http://www.scottishvag.net/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=56031 Is the fella i've been helping. And for those that can't see the link, this member has a lovely mark 2 oak green golf GTI that he is currently trying to get back on the road. I've been getting dirty helping him with the body panels and last night helping him solve a brake problem. I'm hoping that my generosity will one day be rewarded with a possible shot of his lock-up! sooo, keep your ears pealed! :) Again.. for those who can't see the website (and who would rather not join, there being a membership fee) here's the culprit for not working on the rado while she is off the road.
