  2. Dry joint mate, mine only failed when it was cold so I assumed a dry that was closing up with heat.

I just scraped the laquar off and resolve red each joint, took about ten mins, refitted and it now works fine.

Just need to bleed the lines now, I've got a pressure bleeder so I'm hoping it'll go fine.

Once that's done she'll be up for sale... :(

    Rog.

  3. Evening chums,

I've just repaired and refitted my abs unit, all is working ok but it does need a bleed.

I've got a pressure bleeder, so what the best routine, do the calipers first or do the abs unit first?

    Rog.

  4. Afternoon chums, as some of you know due to a change in my circumstances my Storm is up for sale.

So, managed to pick up a worthy replacement today.

Probably not to anyone's taste but I've only gone and got a jap...lol

    2007 Mazda 3 MPS Aero... Sensible 5 door hatchback...lol

Nice clean car with 77k and full service history, wheels need a refurb and there is some lacquer peel on one mirror.

Few small mods, TIP, air filter and remap to 300 bhp.. 😀

I was looking at S3's but this is newer, cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure and more powerful..no brainer in my book.

    Very very happy with it.

    Rog.

(Please don't send me hate mail...lol)

  5. Evening chums,

It's with a heavy heart that due to a change in my family circumstances my Storm will shortly be up for sale.

Just thought I'd post up a quick heads up before it ends up on the bay incase someone here wants first dips on it.

Basically it's a Mystic Blue Storm that has been tastefully modified by the last 3 owners (all club members)

147k miles, but rebuilt engine 30k ago and rebuilt gearbox approx 50k ago.

Loads and loads of sutle mods, too much to list here but this car is truly OE+ spec.

I'm looks for 5k... It will come with a fresh MOT.. and service.

PM me if genuinely interested and I'll give you more info.

    Rog.

  6. Heart says R32, head says S3, The more I think about this the more I think a S3 would currently suit me better.

4k would get me a tidy S3 but I'd be looking at 7k plus for a tidy 32, also the S3 is quicker and cheaper to run / insure than a 32, yes it's not as good looking and I'd lose that lovey sound but turbo power also has its additions...lol..

So...thinking a few years ahead now...nice R32 on the drive or nice S3 with a Mk2 Golf project in the garage..mmmmmmmm decisions.....

(Probably end up keeping the Rado...lol)

    Rog.

  7. Cheers fellas, good to hear that there are no major problems with them.

I love the storm but I just need something a bit more modern that doesn't mind being left outside, problem is once you've had a VR its hard to find a car with an equal to that engine but I think the 32 fits that bill.

How does the performance compare to a VR6 Corrado.

    Rog.

  8. Evening chums,

So my family suituation has changed slightly recently and I'm now thinking about selling the Storm and getting something a bit more modern and suitable to my current needs.

Never the one to make sensible decisions I've decided a Mk4 R32 would foot the bill.

Has anyone on here ever owned one and could perhaps provide a honest unbiased opinion.

    Many thanks

    Rog.

  9. Welcome.

6k is a pretty healthy budget for a Corrado, should be able to get a real minter for that price however I get the impression from your previous cars that you are a bit of a tinker, maybe better to buy a cheaper straight car and then 'make it yours' with the extra cash.

BTW where abouts in the country are you?

    Rog.
