been a while n got some news, hopefully the vr is goin to sprayshop in about a week :clap: ,the front no plate surround will be filled,rear black surround will be colour coded as will door handles,shes havin a service while there n new loom[thanks to kurzy]. have also bought a leather interior ,so lots of bolt ons n stuff to be fitted when she comes back.have also managed to get windows removed n put back in for 30 bob each which i thought was good price,will post pics of works bein done in shop ....rob

there was a vr on piston heads a few months back same mileage roughly, one owner they wanted nine n a half large for it!!

goin in the sprayshop in two weeks so the next pic on my members bit will show it on the bed of the tow truck !then followed by more as ben cracks on with it :)

thats all i had bud. there were some inside wernt there? if you can get hold of any ile pay for em but thought we had all of em :(

hello peeps, lookin for costs for respray of me vr. i know its impossible for a spot on price so heres a list of what i want doin.prep n spray to whole car ,ive taken most of the bits off ,the only things remaining are bonnet n tailgate ,so not much else to take off. theres a few minor dings to fill ,n windows n sunroof to take out,as i want a proper job done,how much roughly am i looking at,oh yea front bumper to be smoothed ,door handles to be body colour and rear number plate surround.any rough prices n recomendations [southwest] would be greatfully recieved thanks rob :salute:

as above while my vr is bein resprayed ,bin thinkin bout manifold ,rocker cover n bits being polished up .seen some nice examples on this forum have heard of sites that take yours and sell you bits that are finished ,anyone done this ? advice needed please .thanks rob :salute:

as said above yea a history of vw type book ,if you go to wh smiths you will find books on sports cars ,or definitive guide to jaguar etc, same thing but on vdubs! :)

anybody know where me mum can get one for me for xmas.have looked online but not seen one suitable or it says look through this book ,i couldnt for some reason.if you want an aircooled book great but not much for watercooled,surely there must be one somewhere featuring rados, rocos etc thanks rob :)
