My Corrado thread is turning into an event/meet organiser!

Thinking its about time I starting a thread with the progression of my VR!

I bought this back in 2011

She has the following mods...Jetex Exhaust, 6 Branch, Big Bore Throttle Body, BMC CDA, Re-map & FK Coiles on TT Rims...

Will be posting more pics and mods done over the past years shortly.

What about the magnecor red or blue Ht leads? I know they're expensive but are they any good and do they make much difference?

I was thinking of goin for kW v2s or the st equivalent

I don't think my car will ever be going around a track, so v3s maybe overkill? Or should I be going for the v3s

Are they much more impressive?

I want something better n fully adjustable damper n height?

Looking at ST range or KW if I can stretch the budget.

Unless something else is as good and cheaper???

yes, the right handles will fit and operate the corrado lock/catch, it's the lever length/shape that is important, these vary, some do not reach the corrado catch levers in the door.

yes, given the right priming they can be painted fine, ideally you want good preparation, plastic primer and chemical curing 2 pack paint, spray can cellulose paint will just chip and flake off

The dishes look diamond cut as standard. When I looked into refurbishing that actual set I found someone that would do it. There's plenty of people around now that do diamond cutting.

AFAIK the original finish on the dishes cannot be reproduced.. Certainly whenever i have spoken to Mike he is of the opinion that RSs should not be refinished unless they really have to be for that reason..

So if they can not be reproduced and I have one that has slight damage from pothole.

Mike says he can repair and re polish.

Which means non standard finish.

I will have to re polish all the others for them to be the same right?

Or do I keep looking for someone who can do original factory finish on them?

If you super chrome the centres make sure you have seen evidence of doing that before.

Rainbow polishing in digbeth are supposed to be good but don't want to take any risks.

I'm thinking either..

1. Leave centres original with polished dishes.

2. Polish centres and dishes.

3. Refurb the dishes back to original Bbs finish, diamond cut and lacquer (if anyone can do that is?!)

4. Super schrome the centres and polished dishes!

Choices choices, too many bloody choices!
