Any one know what might be causing fault '00587 mixture control adjustment limit 09-10 Adaption Limit Surpassed - Intermittant'. On a warm start the idle lumps over t about 400 - 500 rpm and I think that this is when it occurs. It's a 93 2.0l 16v 9a. Any info appreciated...

Does anyone know if it's possible to check the ignition timing using vagcom lite on a 2.0l 16v 9a? I can access the ecu fault codes but just get 'error' in all the engine blocks....

Can anyone quickly give me an ignition timing for good mpg on a 93 2l 16v 9a? Also is it correct that advancing the ignition slightly gives more power in the higher rev range? Thanks in 'advance'...

To use vag com do you need the engine running or will just ignition on do?....or perhaps neither?

Does any one know what the resistance limits are across the sensors? I have one showing .98 k ohms and am wondering if this is too low.

Yes, all the leads on ebay seem to be 16 pin type. Anyone else help?

Just had a look there and all I can see is a black and white plug which looks like it only has 2 spade type connections.....is this it?

Can some one please tell me where the VAG COM connection plug is on a 93 C 2.0l 16 valve. If anyone has a lead they want to flog let me know... cheers, Phil.

Done some research and your alt will be ok (as I don't have air con). Just a question of price.....

Thanks for doing all that. I will be taking my alternator off the car later today and will see if I can find a part no. on it. What engine did your alt come off?

Ok, can you check it is 90 amp and has the old v belt type pulley. Let me know an all up price. Has it been off the car a while? Cheers.
