  1. It's gonna be interesting to see what happens to Corrado prices over the next few years as even the youngest cars are fast approaching 20 years old now, time flies! Hopefully depreciation will slow right down and nice condition cars start appreciating in value.
  2. Many thanks for the info. jon_vr6 and the pics. Yes I remember now that the 2.8 casting is different to the 2.9. Phil_OCC could you please modify your advert as this is a 2.8 Golf inlet manifold and not a Corrado 2.9. I'll leave it thanks as it's not the right manifold for me.

  4. Hi, no problem at all. I don't think there are any differences between an early or late 2.9 inlet manifold anyway?, but it would be good to know what year it was made and the engine it came off, thanks for getting the info. for me. Is the manifold free from any damage and in vgc? It looks really good. Do you know who did the polishing on the manifold? Cheers mate.

  7. Had a nice afternoon at this meet, good company and many thanks Fay for organising this one for us. Highlights include: Matty helping a nice old lady with her parking to save his car getting scraped up! and I've now self-diagnosed that I have a rare plastic trim and air guide fetish, well I don't get out much these days, hhmmm air guides! Also Jez's OCD style car cleaning multi-tool with various brush attachments was a treat, if slightly disturbing! I joke ofcourse.
  8. Wow! That's serious money, but then they are rare as hens teeth brand new. I can't believe the seller's just casually placed them down on paving, concrete and dirt like that for the pics. I would have carefully placed them on a piece of carpet or some cotton wool to protect them! haha. My precious!

  10. I voted for most Sundays but I can't make the 14th or 15th Sep. due to the Goodwood revival meeting, most dates are fine with me. I agree that a Saturday might be better as the pub could be quieter and more parking spaces available. Ofcourse alot of it depends on the weather and a sunny Sunday afternoon could mean a packed pub and not enough parking!
  11. Great thread, nice work, love the clean and mean look of the G60. Front licence plates aren't mandatory in Canada and BC, is that right? It's an option and not law?

  15. Glad to hear someone likes my idea! It's worth considering that these car clubs are pretty exclusive and can cost 2K upwards per year plus a pretty tasty joining fee to become a member, so serious, well off car folk. The kind of people who want to drive a 70's Aston or 80's Ferrari, along with 90's tasty metal like an Audi UR Quattro or Corrado G60 or VR6 etc. If you sell your car or break it then other people will drive it, so what's the difference really!? It would be pretty cool knowing that your car could be in a stable of thoroughbred classic cars that all get moderately exercised.

  17. The classic car clubs don't usually take on modified cars but they do make exceptions for quality subtle mod's, I reckon your car could fall into this bracket quite nicely. You could even consider Classic hire companies aswell, food for thought anyway. They may say that your car's too modified and you'd need to detune the engine a bit but even so, it's do-able. I reckon it could work for you and your car wouldn't be sat in your garage or on the driveway. Anyone got any thoughts on this idea?
  18. Hi Rams, sounds like you've got alot of stuff going on at the moment mate and I hope things get better and it all works out for you. I think we all understand and know that it won't be an easy decision for you to make, whatever that may be for you and your Corrado. Another option that might be worth considering would be to contact a few of these classic car clubs where they look after your car for you and it then goes onto their books to be made available to their exclusive members for a day or several days hire, which they pay for through their accumulated annual club points, or something like that. The club would store and look after your car for you and I'm sure another forum member used to do this with his VR successfully. Just an idea that might be worth exploring for you. You'd still own the car and it would get driven and enjoyed by classic car enthusiasts. I reckon alot of well heeled non Corrado folk would love to drive a top spec. luxury VR6 for a weekend away. Very good figures Vorn, ok my turn now from my MOT on 29/7 !: MOT no.14 safely in the bag, and no advisories :cheers: , scores on the door: HC 32ppm, CO 0.020 (Fast Idle) and 0.13 (Natural Idle), Lambda 1.005 That was straight after HG replacement, head skimmed and serviced including new valve guides, new valve stem oil seals, valves lapped / reground and yet I still can't beat your cars overall figures, haha! :scratch: :brickwall: Vorn I salute your mightily impressive emissions results! :notworthy: Still, it's great to have the old girl back on the road now and ready to enjoy once again.   21. Hi Chris, What's the condition of the toolkit, any rust and is it complete including all tools, casing etc.? Also what's the space saver spare wheel / tyre like aswell please?
