  1. Having seen your car in the flesh today, I can only say that the amount of time and effort which you have invested so far to date is paying dividends. Many would have given up a long time ago. I am really looking forward to seeing the final product. A really big thanks for sorting my Corrado out today. It's now running as VW intended, well almost apart from the PAS leak. I owe you a drink or two :)
  2. Fuse 15 is for the ISV according to my fuse plan.
  3. Someone thinks that they are worth a bid, not sure why though.
  4. Welcome to the forum. I hope it's nothing serious or expensive.
  5. I think nearly all people use their insurance as Corrado glass is not the easiest thing to replace. Even the so called pro's seem to struggle with fitting windscreens.
  6. You don't hang around mate. What silver paint was used on the gearbox?
  7. Took the VR for it's first fun for four years to the MOT garage. I took the long route naturally. Also collected my MK Golf from the bodyshop where I also treated it to paintless dent removal for the slight imperfections in three of the panels. The Golf feels so basic in comparison, it's still good fun though.
  8. I just tried to figure it out myself which obviously failed. The annoying thing is that it came of of it's own accord with out any prompting.
  9. I have the same problem. The job appears easy but I have failed after repeated attempts.
  10. Just insured my VR with HIC. Ryan was most definitely the most helpful person who I have ever spoken too in the world of insurers. Thanks also to Martin for getting me the best rates.
  11. the red Corrado belongs to one of the instructors and is used as a daily. Yes still working at Collingwood doing the same thing but now a Civil Servant and working in Atlantic. Give me a shout if you come down to Pompey again, it would be good to catch up. I'll do my best to make at least one show all things being well. I've been admiring the work which you have done on your latest Corrado I guess this is a keeper?
  12. Just realised that my post count is about the same as the miles which the Corrado has covered in the past four years.
  13. Fingers crossed I will be in the position to use both cars next week. The Corrado will get a run to Fareham and back home whatever.
  14. Sorry Sean, just seen your reply. I wish I could weld full stop :)I have been using JRC in Fareham for the bodywork. He does quite a bit of high end work so I know that he will get things right.
  15. Just thought that it was time to bring my thread back to life as for some reason I am not getting reply notifications. Just insured the Corrado after it not being used for a few years. MOT is booked for next Tuesday. Wish me luck. The Golf is back in the body shop as there was a reaction with the paint which caused some minor blistering. The guy who owns the business has been great and has started again from scratch, winscreen and sunroof out, tailgate and bonnet off too. I am also getting the underside of the bonnet done as the lacquer had discoloured.
  16. There's quite a bit of Frenck tack on the list!
  17. Sorry, forgot to ask if you have agreed value? I have been quoted £133 by Classicline for my Vr which includes breakdown, home start and agreed value. Seems good to me so far.
  18. Great deal. Does this include breakdown or recovery?
  19. Could we have a discount code like some of the air cooled folks? Please :)
  20. Sorry no joy. Good luck with the search.
  21. Sorry, I did not receive a reply notification :( I will check to see what I've got when I get home tonight.
  22. What is the part number of the ISV you need?
  23. There's a very reasonably priced powder coaters just behind the Range at Gosport. They have done loads of work for me in the past.
