  1. As most of you have probably noticed I've now got the car and engine etc listed on eBay. I've some really silly low offers for the whole car which is somewhat frustrating considering it has a mint black leather interior as well as a lot of other valuable parts. I've also decided to return my 1992 8V MK2 Golf GTI back to the correct 1.8 Digifant engine and matching close ratio gearbox, the the current G60 set up is going to be sold in parts. It's got a really good charger on it which I have a new wide timing belt to fit prior to sale.
  2. Here's the steering wheel, really nice condition. Also, a rear badge that's not damaged in anyway. And a pair of mystery brake cooling ducts, am yet to check the part No's but seem to recall they're G60 specific. Again not damaged in anyway. Not sure what to ask for stuff so going to research prices. The steering wheel is £150 posted. Some stuff will find it's way to eBay even though I object to their ridiculous fees. 3. Another sought after part that I thought to advertise seperatly... My 1990 G60 breaker has a really four spoke design Leather Steering Wheel in great condition. It's only done 72K miles so has no ware spots or damage and is generally in excellent nick. £150 including postage to mainland UK address. Will remove it and add photo's later today.
  4. £150 for the lot inclding the bulb holders and I'll give you as much loom as I can, a good couple of feet. That includes P&P.
  5. Rear are lights are excellent and yes LHD and RHD are the same I also half another complete set from the last Corrado I broke so could put together a really nice set.
  6. Oh yes... I know all about the orange foam of death, we have it under our Audi headlings as well... Terrible stuff! I've removed the seats already, the car probably won't be moved now from breaking position just outside my workshop. It a non sunroof car and the headling and indeed the entire interior is mint. Thanks for the warning though, I've got to deal with it on my RS2, I'm taking the seats out of the car and covering the carpet before even thinking of touching the bloody headling.
  7. Getting lot of interest in interior parts... So removing them today with clean hands.😉
  8. This now sold pending collection and payment..
  9. In that case it's yours I'm selling stuff on a first come first served basis.. Please PM me to sort out contact details.🙂 Now got a lot of intrest in parts from my breaker as well so am busy!😄
  10. Okay mate, I'll dig it out over the weekend, I need to find a wing for another member so I'll be in the attic at some point today.
  11. In in near Brecon on the Welsh boarders, not far from Hereford.
  12. I forgot to say my car is LHD so my passenger door is the offside so the door handle that side has barely been used. Sent from my SM-A115F using Tapatalk
  13. Sorry but they're not for sale seperatly to the door cards... I sold my spare set last year on eBay for an insane £100. I will not split up the interior in anyway, really it all needs to go in another LHD car. The door handle I can help with, mine are both excellent. Drop me a PM for contact details please.
  14. There's a pic above of the 2.0 K-jet lump in my 80... Same basic block as a G60 so quite an easy fit, just got to sus out clutch options as I want retain the G60 flywheel, one can get custom clutches made for surprisingly little, that's if I can't work something out myself. My RS2 is really very tidy and straight but is actually awaiting a full respray and mechanical restoration as the paint isn't perfect and running 380bhp for 100K miles takes a bit of a toll on the drive train. I haven't got the inclination to spend 100's of of hours sanding at the moment so the 80 project is something fun I can get on with whilst breaking my Corrado... I also have 1992 runout model MK2 Golf with a G60 conversion using the correct parts from a German doner car as opposed to cobbled together with Corrado parts, this doesn't need much doing to it other than fitting the fuel pumps from my Corrado as the one's on there are both dead from being stood for too long. And yes, I'm very lucky to have that workshop, I'm a mechanic so do all my own work which saves a fortune plus I know stuff is done right, though it does take some of the joy out of working on my own cars. There's a saying in the trade "this job ruins a good hobby" but I'm taking some time off working at classic car specialist I normally work for to do my own stuff.🙂
  15. I'm ready to start a thread, just not sure what's the correct forum... I'm guessing members gallery?
  16. So far the only parts that have definatly been sold are the radiator and the plastics the go with it... Provisionaly sold are... The fog light's, NS indicator, Rear axle assembly. The car is going to advertised as breaking on eBay this weekend so I expect stuff start shifting more quickly then, though I will do better deals to members on here as that cuts out the eBay fee's which are now just silly and the site is no longer very seller friendly. I've had a better look at what wheels I have and have found I actually have four very tidy original Sebring alloys as well as a tatty but straight spare, I thought I had a another but can't find it so I guess it's been sold. I also have four undamaged center cap's to go with them and the tidy rims are also straght and uncracked, the tyres are all absoutly shagged so I will be removing these. Only one holds air properly for any length of time so I can't see any reason to even leave them on even as tempory rubber. I can remove as well as fit and ballance new tyres if the buy wishes and can collect as I will not send wheels with tyres on, packing a set properly takes a bloody day and mountains of bubble wrap. I will however happily send bare wheel's in a consingment of two boxes using ParcelForce 48, I will not use any other courier as they're too rough with stuff or loose (steal) items. Plus they're actually pretty good on price the last set of four 15" rims I sent cost about £35 including proper insurance. I'd like £300 ono + postage for the five bare wheels and center caps, given that sets of center caps go for nearly £100 on eBay I think this is a fair price, part of the cost is to cover my time packing them up which still takes ages as I do a very good job, they won't get damaged in transit unless the van crashes and catches on fire. I will fit and ballance new tyres to them for £5 a rim to cover the sundries used such as weights etc plus a little for my time if the buyer brings their new tyres with them. I recomend fitting the correct 185/55/15's as oppossed to cheaping out on 195/50's as they fit better and are correctly suited to the weight of the car.
  17. I've got a straight black one with some light surface rust on the inside of the arch but it's soild enough and straight.
  18. I've just realised I have a mint 90mm front spoiler/spliter in my loft so before it goes on eBay I thought I could put it on here. £150 + postage, though collection strongly preffered. Will get it out for photos on the weekend. It's been in storage for 20 years and is basically new.
  19. Here's a couple of photos of the engine, most the other parts are in storage. It's an AJQ motor which was the 180bhp version, as I mentioned I have various ancillaries in storage. The blue rope is on there for lifting purposes and the engine has been dry stored since removal. It's an ideal motor for someone wanting to do a 1.8T conversion. Any questions please feel free to ask. Sent from my SM-A115F using Tapatalk
  20. Have sent a message with my full contact details and a load of other info.🙂
  21. Collection in person is preffered, I much rather buyers see items in flesh before parting with any money. So you are very welcome to visit. Will drop you a PM tomorrow with all my details.
  22. Couple of photos as I know everyone likes some pictures... The engine bay is the current K-Jet 2.0 motor in my Audi 80, I reckon a G60 will fit there easily. Then a bit of a pic of my RS2 and workshop. Sent from my SM-A115F using Tapatalk
  23. I'm on the Welsh border near Brecon so quite a distance from you... I'm quite happy to package the radiator up and send it by Parcelforce 48. I find they're the least likely to break stuff, that'll cost about £15 fully insured. I could get it ready tomorrow if you need it in a hurry. PM me for payment details please, I do PayPal and bank transfer. Sent from my SM-A115F using Tapatalk
  24. I haven't been active on here for some time as my choice of cars changed a little and I put my LHD G60 Corrado through a hedge... I am reluctanatly breaking my 1989 Corrado G60 which started it's life in holland so is LHD, the the first couple of year's of UK cars with the G60 motor were left hookers anyway. I stuffed it through a hedge a couple of years ago requiring a a complete new front end. That's not too much of a problem, however the offside cill sustained some pretty serious damage which has just about effected the floor pan making a proper repair extreamly time consuming. Please see the breaking section for what avaiable and rough prices. The car is Tornado Red/pink and is currently on around 116,000 Kiometers, I retained the orginal clocks, as I was planning keeping the car for life. Since I purchaased the Corrado 11 years ago a great deal has changed. After owning a 1990 3B 390bhp S2 Coupe which met a sticky end in 2016 I now have a 1995 Audi RS2 with a 380bhp K26/7 MTM conversion done from new in Germany under warrenty from Audi. I'm only the second owner and the car has done 102,000 miles with a Full Audi service history stapped up in the book up until 97,000. It's very sraight and solid, however it's reached the time in it's life where it requires proventative resoration which is not going to be cheap despite being a mechanic myself and doing all the work. I also have a 2.8 V6 C4 (1991) Avant quattro, this is 177 bhp with buckets of torque and is my daily driver, this super comfortable and practical, they're a bit like driving a living room. Now here's where things get interesting and VW related, I have a solid but a litle tatty looking 1989 Audi 80 quattro, as it's gutted the underpowered 2.0 short stroke engine actually moves's it along quite well but as the G60 motor is a very easy fit (loads of space) in a B3 80 engine bay... So I'm planning to install the G60 engine into my Audi 80, which as it's stripped out weighs very little (1000kg max) and I feel will make a fun car as well being something a little different. I changed the oil in my G60 every couple of thousand miles and it had it's charger rebuit by JMR not long before I smashed it up so I know it's good reliable motor. It will be left the stock 160 bhp as I feel the charger is stressed enough as it is, that said I do have and ECU and pully that up's the output to 220bhp in case I'm feeling brave. There is also the possibility of useing the Audi's orginal 2.0 bottom end, it's the 3A short stroke engine and in very good order, though it probably make more sense to leave the engine alone. Finally I have a rust free, never welded 1992 MK2 Golf 8V GTI with a full G60 conversion done using a german doner car so it's got all the correct pipe work etc, the engine bay is actually quite different to a G60 Corrado. As I had a MK2 as my first car I'd like to keep it after selling my 1988 16V example, though I'll have little need for it so it'll probably get sold. Would there be any interest in a G60 powered Audi 80 quattro project? if so I'll start a thread
