  1. should of added i cleared the fault codes twice to make sure, and i do dissconnect the battery because ive got a battery drain
  2. just got myself some vag-com leads from ross tech to try and figure out whats wrong with my ABS,and these codes came up 00532 -supply voltage B+ 35-00 00285 -ABS speed sensor front right(G45)35-00 00287-ABS wheel speed sensor rear right(G44)35-00 00290-ABS wheel speed sensor rear left(G46)16-00 signal outside specs 00287-ABS wheel speed sensor rear right(G44)16-00 sensor outside specs 00287 ABS wheel speed sensor rear right(G44)04-00 mechanical malfunction the ABS light first came on when i changed the rear discs about 2 years ago(cars been off the road for over an year now)but i didnt change the ABS cages,so i have now changed them but the fault is still there, ive done a search but there where no definitive answers
  3. there is a cover, but it only cover the ecu area, there is a group buy through audioscape for a full lengh scuttle cover(its in the group buy section)

  5. actually i had to lift my engine block into my shed,i struggled but i lifted it,minus the head though
  6. lol..i forgot to put the . in,but its actually 4 litres,still weigh a bit though
  7. well do you think vw just dropped an engine and said ok that will do there?they work the weight out so it evenly distributed, when i took the engine and gear box out of my car, guess what happened, the gearbox end dropped even though i thought the weight was even, and i used an egine stabiliser bar..oh and i forgot 25 litres of water doesnt weigh anything  and neither does a battery
  8. i meant the weight of the engine is mainly towards the passenger side, and those ancilleries do weigh quite a lot actually
  9. around 66cm from the ground to the centre of the arch, going through the centre of the wheel, thats when its on standard wheels
  10. id say the engine is more over towards the passenger side, plus you have the gearbox, battery, washer bottle, abs pump etc on the passeger side, plus roads tend to slope towards the left so there is more strain on the passenger side
  11. A20LEE just got one for his vr6 and vw price was over £400 but he got one from ECP for just over £200 so you could try them

  13. ive just had my front bumper sprayed in a paint called DELTRON,and the finish is spot on
  14. as its been said before, spraying is pretty easy with a bit of practice, its the prep work that needs to be spot on,i was a paint sprayerfor 5 years, not on cars but the technique is the same, ive got a small compessor which is ideal for little jobs like colour coding wing mirrors etc, paint choice is quite critical aswell, you can get 2 pack paint which is isacyanide free,i think cellulose paints are been fazed out towards the end of the year, and water based paints being used, which is going to be more expensive to use
  15. yep, that certainly is phats corrado
  16. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZn65vX_ ... rch=engine
  17. they do go tight after a while, when i did a filter change on my old golf, the screwdriver slipped and went through the bottom rad hose

  19. not being funny but did you take the 4 little torx screws out of the back of the circuit board first?
  20. you want to buy some propor K&N air filter cleaner and air filter oil, demon tweeks sell it and i would of thought halfords would stock it aswell
  21. if you take the slam panel off and the front cross member you will be able to pull the engine out with it balanced on a trolley jack, henny did his like that, but i took the easy option and bought my self an engine hoist
  22. those wheels were a standard fit on lotus esprits http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EHistor ... heels.html
