I have have p6000's and some continentals, both were really bad, though the extra extra hard compound on the latter lasted for years! performance was poo though.

I have used AutoGlym cleaner and cream on mine, does an excellent job. Once of treat and feed leather you will allways have too, but twice a year seems fine.

Hi, I need to fit new tyres to my Storm (on std 15 inchers). I am currently running BFGoodrich Profiler G which are great new, but performance drops off dramatically when you get to 3-4mm. Is there a better choice with being supper stupid on prices :-) Thanks in advance, Duncan

N Plate green valver in Lincoln mid afternoon today.

Red G60 in the market place in the Grantham the other day. VR6 with the reg M2 VWC in Purple? lowered, body kit and nice wheels, parked in a village called Caythorpe in Lincolnshire.

Saw a very clean dark G60 on a K plate, going North on the A1 near Grantham Lincs. I was in a Storm two cars ahead, Sorry for the swerve I made to get the rover200 out from between us just for a better look just before I turned off. :oops:

Black/Dark Blue 'C' possibly G60 on a K plate on the A1 North Bound Grantham. You were behind my Mystic Blue Storm (N), you nearly kept up accross the roundabout :wink: I signaled to you the best I could before turning off a, you were a welcome sight as its been 1000's of miles since I've seen another C 8)

My service in on Friday :lol: and will include an oil change so will ask for the seals to be done.

I have been a chicken when it come to working on my rado, in the past I have done engine swaps, gear boxes and alsorts really...but on a car that was not so much of an issue if I killed it :-D I don't have a workshop manual yet but thought about getting one of those cheapo CDs from ebay? Do the seals come with the cooler, and is there any resources with guidence on how to do it? Many Thanks

Hi, Just had my Storm in for Discs and Pads and to have a slight Oil Leak looked at. The Leak is apparently from the cooler possibly just the seals. I have a service at a VW garage next week and I was wondering what the likely cost of new seals is and/or a new cooler if its worse than first thought. I normally get the work on the car at proper garages and then go to VW for the service and stamp in the book :-D if it is cheap I am happy for them to do it. Many Thanks.

My old VR6 had the problem of the water just going. Sometimes when I took off the cap there would be air bubbling back into the header tank, like back pressure of air...probably do to all the water going :-D. It turned out to be the head gasket. A common fault I am told on early C VR6s, first the top hose goes, then the head gasket, then the heater matrix...usually in that order. Lets hope yours is the cap!
