BMW E36 Headlights...LET THE MISSION BEGIN!!!!

Recommended Posts

Not much of a mission at all.Spent about 2hours per light and that includes stripping them down so i could fit my indicators in the spotlights but its not finished.

Its never guna be a pro job but it looks better than standard IMO

Need to align them 2moro as i cant see fcuk all on the road

If you read the link for the french site,i didnt need to cut the bonnet spring so it made job realy easy apart from the headlights are sealed together with strong glue which was a pain to seperate to get bulbs in!

You didn't have to do whats been done like on mine to the locking bit?

Have you got the uprated loom on?

Also yours looks simlar to mine one side slightly dimmer on outside

Can you get us a pic in daylight m8, wanna see the contrast of chrome to ya car.

I wanna get a new set for mine but i am undecided whether to go for chrome like yours or all black like i got already

cheers chris

I already made an uprated loom a few weeks ago so no probs there.

I just fitted the h4 bulbs in and plugged them in!

I think they are e36 lights from a 4door but i dont think that makes a difference.I didnt cut any off the car, just a bit off the headlight plastic surround thingy.Im guna fit them a bit better tomorrow as they line up perfect on the car but the beams are about 1meter in front of bumper!

Il try and post some more pics tomorrow!

The reason behind 1 being dimmer is theres a bulb out on the nearside angel eye!

Where is the day pictures mate?! I want to see what it looks like.

Is there a difference in-between the 4 door lights and the 2 door lights? I have seen a few questions about it before. I never got a straight answer.

IThe only difference i can find is there is 3 mounting points on top of the lights instead of 2! You have to cut em off anyway!

I havent taken any pics of it in daylight yet,cos im unhappy on how they fit at the mo.

Guna spend some more time on em tommorrow as the adjusters broke(crap design)

How much were your hellas then cheesy??

Before everyone goes out and buys these lights,BEWARE they arent a straight fit and although i got mine fitted quickly,Ive taken them out 6times already and they still dont line up well.Im sure the hella 1s are guna be good quality so the adjusters would be designed better than my ones

They still look 8) even when i cant see anything with em

Does anyone actually have any pictures of these lights on a C in the daylight?

Also perhaps not square on, but more of a 3/4 angle.

Cheers
