only probs with mp3'ing them is that a lot of the bottom end goes.

Next job ... a sub

or is it passenger door handle

.... and the list goes on

AAC (encoding Apple use) is better for that, I don't find a loose any bottom end really (probably more noticeable on a really expensive hifi!).

don't wanna come off sounding elitist, but James Lavelle's GU Romania is better... that said both of them are still paled by UNKLEs Never Never Land Revisited!

Only for legal downloads though, eh lads...? There'll be none of that advising how to illegally download anything here... :)

jazzdevil, some good stuff there, have been thinking about dipping a toe in and getting some Imogen Heap/Frou Frou stuff for a couple of weeks now...

there is no such thing as an mp3 virus. Just stay away from "hotsexanal.JPG" and "freeinternetpornsites.exe" and stuff like that. Limewire is my choice for single songs, and for full albums. But I didn't say that. We did not have this conversation.

Indeed.. URL's removed.. we can't be seen to be giving URL's to people that help them download illegal / copied material! Sorry! -- Jim

Horses for courses I suppose. I'm sort of hit and miss with UNKLE to be honest. I more prefer Hybrid and get a lot of material from http://www.hybridized.org - you can subscribe for a small fee and download MP3's of live gigs they've done, along with a lot of other DJ's. Its all legit and all downloads are there with the blessings of said DJ's! :)

I prefer the first UNKLE album myself, but mainly due to the fact that it was Mr Josh Davis twiddling the knobs... ;)

I use Shoutcast/Winamp streamed radio to discover new artists, then go and buy the cd - when you can get an album for under £9 from play.com or cd-wow.com, there's no excuse for downloading really... just mho, but i have a lot of friends in the music industry who've been screwed over as an indirect result of illegal mp3 downloading... besides, i much prefer getting whole albums rather than single songs as that's how the artist intended you to hear it, and i like having the artwork and knowing that i'm financially supporting someone whose work i appreciate... :)
