m1cah 0 Posted April 13, 2005 Recently fitted lowering springs, since this I hear twisting rubber sound when turning on the front end. Thought this might have just taken time for everything to settle down but is still happening after a week. do the rubber mountings need to be trimmed? if yes by how much
coullstar 0 Posted April 13, 2005 Probably just the front top mounts.
Rpmayne 0 Posted April 13, 2005 The bump stops should be cut back, otherwise the car might be sitting on them all the time with the new lower ride height.
stevemac 0 Posted April 13, 2005 Are your front tyres rubbing on the coil springs or inner wheelarches ? Did you have the front camber re-set once you'd changed the springs ?
m1cah 0 Posted April 18, 2005 Did you have the front camber re-set once you'd changed the springs ? Sorry for being a div but how do I reset the chamber?
Henny 0 Posted April 18, 2005 Camber, not chamber... it's how the front wheels sit in relation to the vertical. It needs re-setting at a garage with the proper measuring equipment, similar to setting up the tracking on your car... 8)
