SteveRobb 0 Posted June 13, 2005 Does anyone know if a 10 year old corrado (used for weekends) can be put on classic car insurance. Limited to say 5000 miles per year?? If so, who are best to try? Steve
Anton 0 Posted June 14, 2005 I noticed the RAC use 15 years as a minimum age for their classic car insurance, and lowering the mileage (to 2000) mades very little difference on my 14 year old. :(
Supercharged 2 Posted June 14, 2005 Yeah - fairly sure it has to be 25 years to be classed as classic
SteveRobb 0 Posted June 15, 2005 Managed to get Highway (via A Quote) to give me a years fully comp for £427. Thats with no ncb and 6 points, I am 31. They did have a classic car policy it would have qualified for, but it had a 5000 mile limit and was 30 more expensive????? Steve
chfs911 0 Posted June 18, 2005 Classic Line cover me for £289 for 3000 miles a year. Classic policy with track day cover if you need it free of charge.
Henny 0 Posted June 20, 2005 most classic car policies start for cars at either 20 or 25 years old... :( Some specialist insurers will do limited milage policies, but it doesn't really knock a great deal off... :|
H8RRA 0 Posted June 20, 2005 i've had scirocco's and golfs on classic at 10 years old - depend on the car, the company and whether they have added it to their classic list. the corrado can be insured with a company called craig and suttar - i enquired a while ago but i got a cheaper, normal quote from priviledge at £300 fully omp so didn't need classic
vornwend 0 Posted March 28, 2013 Pleasantly surprised by by my insurance renewal premium @ £215 (VR6 Storm, with all mods declared and 3,000 mile limit) - almost a £100 cheaper than last year. I suspect this may be related to my age but I'm not complaining!
