HELP!!!! Cant get the blooming headlights out

Recommended Posts

Help!!!!

As per the other thread about new bulbs for the c, I have been trying to get the headlight out in order to change the bulbs.........which will be followed up with one of those wiring looms.........but they wont come out.

I have unscrewed the plates that connect it to the frame, and followed the instructions in the handbook to pull forward slightly, but this does not work. They seem to be catching in the middle at the back.

Does anyone have any handy tips for doing this???

Big hole on the middle of the panel that the headlights attach to - that's because you need to put a screw-driver down there and undo the THIRD screw ;)

I assume you know that they're screwed in the middle aswell..there's a hole in the slam panel that you can gt a screwdriver down...

EDIT--ooop...beaten to it by the boss...

Good point!

It's only 3 screws and removing the connectors and the lights pop out.....in theory.

It's certainly a lot easier to take the headlight out if you've got a VR - there's bugger all room back there.

In my experience the screws were rusty and rounded off, i had to find the longest drill bit and drill them out.

Hi Kajik,

I've sent you a PM as I'd like to get me hands on one of your wiring looms.
