bix 0 Posted December 27, 2005 You dont have to use it, not sure what it does, but it wasnt in there from the factory. Its cheap off ebay anyway!
kongo127 0 Posted December 28, 2005 The Klubber Grease only gives you some extra boost. But as far as i know it only lasts about 10.000Km... It isn´t a must. You can go on without any problems. Factory Charger don´t bring it anyway. But anyone better than G-Werks to clarify this situation for you! :)

Tristan 0 Posted January 19, 2006 When rebuilding a charger, where do you use the Kluber grease?
h100vw 0 Posted January 20, 2006 Where the sealing strips meet the casings/displacer. Gavin

Tempest 0 Posted January 20, 2006 Was all over in the one I got from l&s cartec, loads of it! Yeah, if memory serves me correctly, when I had mine rebuilt by G-Werks, he also applied his magical grease to the entire scroll. Tempest
h100vw 0 Posted January 21, 2006 Can you qualify 'all over'? The name implies that it lubricates. Smoothering the whole scroll wouldn't do a great deal as it is only the teflon strips that actually touch anything. Grease anywhere else would just be squeezed about. The scroll doesn't (shouldn't) touch the casing. I am not the expert but I have rebuilt several chargers in my time. I used the spray grease given to me with the kit I bought and only sprayed the surfaces where the strips would touch the casing or scroll. bix 0 Posted January 21, 2006 I suppose the grease is to make a better seal between the casing and scroll, obviously the scroll need some clearance from the casing, which must leak boost.
h100vw 0 Posted January 22, 2006 obviously the scroll need some clearance from the casing, which must leak boost. Without some tolerance the thing would blow up. Gavin
W3RKD 0 Posted January 22, 2006 Lubrication is only required on Mating faces.
