Under Bonnet Sponge

Recommended Posts

My under bonnet sponge has gone into self destruct. Has any one got a spare set or know if they are still avialable from the stealers?

Anyone know the cheapest place to get Dynamat hoodliner online? I need to replace my sponge as it's falling to pieces, might as well do it with something that isn't going to fall apart in the future!

Mike, Dynamat hoodliner :-)

It has a tough silver coating which deflects heat and oil etc. The problem with the OE sponge is when it starts soaking up hot engine oil and stuff, it crumbles to bits. That'll never happen with hoodliner.

First I think I'll need to invest in one of these 'hood' thingies?

Is that what the scallies wear? But then they buy an extra liner for winter to keep their precious little heads warm?!

Glue is a night mare to take off.

IF you have not done it, I suggest using a plastic scraper and evo stick glue remover. Apply the remover with a paint brush and not a cloth as well.
