DEL VR6 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Saw your car, but never got the chance to come over and say hello. Was busy cleaning my 1303, but noticed you had a rosette on the windscreen as i was leaving the show around 4ish. Hope that was you! Congrats & well done. Car was lookin nice as always. Guest Posted May 1, 2006 Hi Del. Thanks for the thanks. Yep it was me. Sorry I didn't see you, I didn't seem to see anyone. This 'concourse cleaning' lark is hard work. Picked up a few more tips though. Black bin liner going in my cleaning kit for the next one!!
G60Jet 1 Posted May 1, 2006 bin liner...whats that for
Guest Posted May 1, 2006 Very very useful piece of kit. Especially if it has rained, you have no change of clothes for after cleaning and even more so if you decided to wear a white top... (it's for lying on when cleaning under the car)
Supercharged 2 Posted May 1, 2006 Yep, good work Judith!

Yandards 0 Posted May 2, 2006 *considers cleaning petrol straps..* :) You don't have time Trig what with all your post whoring  I think Judith is still in denial about being a concours obsessive though.

Guest Posted May 2, 2006 Trig. I hope you actually took them off cause if they looked bad from where you can see it aint nothing to what's lurking on the inside. As for being a concourse obsessive. I can't do the 'mod thing' as I know nothing of alloys, lowering kits, induction kits etc etc so guessed learning how to clean properly is easier. I just might review that thought though!!!! Trig 0 Posted May 2, 2006 Didn't take them off but I guessed they would look pretty rotten on the other side :( (partly why I didn't take them off!)

Ah the first step on the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem  I'm just jealous really as your car is always exceptionaly well presented and it is clear the work you put in pays off. Ice White Socks 0 Posted May 3, 2006 Well done Butterfly- I always thought your Storm was a cracking original example BTW- you got me thinking about the fuel tanks straps as well cos mine are minging- if you take them off to paint then will the tank drop to the floor?- if so are there any probs in reconnecting the filler neck or owt like that? Cheers
Trig 0 Posted May 3, 2006 I thought the tank might drop plus i've got about 50litres of fuel in there! I might take them off properly when the tank is empty.
